is it bad poker etiquette for a person (who was not involved in the hand) to tell someone nice hand?the person who lost is already upset at how many chips he lost on that hand and then to hear nice hand and thank you flying around the table.if it were something like straight flush or quads...something that doesnt happen all that often. but a simple trips over 2 pr. i dont think there is any need to say nice hand./rant

Sounds like you need to quit bitching. There is nothing wrong with it...grow up and don't get upset when you lose chips.

No.

The person is already upset and wildly flailing around for someone to blame. Shit happens.

ironically i was just berated for saying "nice call" to someone who made a sick call with one pair on a river shove in a live tourney. Shoving player went literally ballistic on me... I laughed.

I almost got slapped when I was drunk at a football game, I was walking up the stairs and I said "Nice Ass" to the girl if front of me. (true story and it was a nice ass)So I agree with the OP......and I've been drinking.

I can see you getting frustrated, especially if you are losing a lot. You are going to have to get used to it though since someone says nice hand almost every hand.Solution = Don't lose a lot.

Only when the loser has brought a gun to a home game.
Paging Dave. Wait. different deal. Anyway. Poker is way way way more emotional than most people think. So, it's natural that people get pissed and mope and gloat. We all do it. Some people wear their emotions on their sleeve a little more than others. There's no use saying anything about it unless it gets totally out of hand.
