it was basically perfection. I was at a wedding in DC where the appetizers were good but not plentiful and the entree was awful. I was drunk and hungry and I went to a five guys for the first time ever (on the recommendation of a friend) and my wife (who was 2x drunk as me) and I were the last two customers they served before closing. We demolished 4 bacon cheeseburgers and 2 orders of fries back at the hotel in a scene probably a lot like the White Castle eating scene in Harold and Kumar.

Chick-Fil-a has more choices under 500 calories than all of the other fast food places. I never was crazy about their sandwiches but I liked their nuggets.I don't eat there (or any fast food resturant except for Chipotle) anymore. I stopped eating read meat about 4 months ago and fowl about 3 months ago.

As a former foodie and fattie (was 340, now in at 185 which is my post-boot camp weight, 32 pants with a belt and a 52 jacket), I'll give you my opinon.Chick-Fil-A is by far the best fast food chicken sandwich. I prefer it plain because I hate mayo, but most people do add mayo. Waffle fries are the best you're going to get from a freezer-to-fryer french fry. Wendy's Spicy Chicken is a close runnner-up, but they are two different types of sandwiches.Having moved to Northern Virginia AFTER I lost my fatness, I only have 5 guys occasiaonally (I have one cheat meal a week, eating clean the rest of the time. If I am craving a burger I usually grill it myself, but if I want fries too, I hit up the 5 guys). They didn't have these in Indiana, and if they did I would have probably hit 350. Awesome burgers, the best I've had from a "fast food" place, though I have yet to have an In-and-Out burger. Their fries are amazing, and yes, do not order a large unless you want it to feed 4. Fresh cut fries from fresh potatoes, you can't beat them.As for what to get there, the regular burger is a double, so I just get the "little" burger, which is still an easy 1/4 lb. They don't have much else on the menu, although I've had a bit of their hot dogs (my kids get them) and they are damned good as well for a regular grilled dog.Anyway, just my 2 cents. Like I said, I used to eat 2 number 1 combos from Chick-Fil-A for lunch, so yeah, I like the place. Now if I eat more than 1 meal a week I feel terrible.

I only eat seafood. I didn't set out to stop eating meat. About a week or so after I came back from my trip to Dallas (where I ate some form of beef every day) I realized I hadn't eaten any meat since my return. Then I decided to see how long I could go with out it. Within a few more weeks I realized that I hadn't had turkey or chicken for over a week. So I decided to stop that as well.

Yes exactly. Fresh ingredients, non frozen beef, etc.The mayo on the burger is great, but it's just no animal style. But thicker patties, which gives you a more meaty tasting burger which is nice.

I do the opposite, when I'm hammered I want a shitload of sides like large fries and onion rings. Chicken nuggets are great drunk food also.

Being from Atlanta, I've eaten Chik-Fil-As since the 1970s. Truett Cathy, the owner, invented the chicken sandwich. He created the Winshape Center at Berry College in the 1980s. Employees from Chik-Fil-A could earn scholarships to the college. When I graduated from Berry in 1988, Cathy was the graduation speaker. He gave everyone an autographed copy of his book "It's easier to succeed than fail", the cliffnotes to which are "Show up for work everyday, on time, with a good attitude. If they assign you to toilet scrubbing, be the best toilet scrubber they've ever seen. You'll eventually be very successful".You'll never see a Chik-Fil-A open on a Sunday. Cathy believes strongly that Sundays are meant for family time and church.thus endeth the history lesson.
