2009 Wsop $10,000 World Championship No Limit Hold'em

Recommended Posts

Day 7 of the 2009 Wsop $10,000 World Championship No Limit Hold'em Main Event begins today at noon Vegas time and there are only 64 players left to start today.Phil Ivey is in third and I would assume every other player in the tournament hopes that his luck is very bad since even without prop bets an $8 million plus first prize should keep him interested and an interested Ivey playing his A game is about as good as there is.I would assume that they'll play down to about 27 players today since they will be playing down to the final 9 tomorrow.Updates are available on Poker News as always.http://www.pokernews.com/wsop/2009/event-57/day7/

Why would they start with 8 tables, all but two of them with 8 players each, and the other two with 9 and 7 players each?...and Dennis Phillips seems to understand a little about making it deep in the WSOP ME.

who is Ludovic? Is he just some random guy with alot of chips?and yeah, surely they are going to make it 8 tables of 8 as opposed 6x8 and 1x9, 1x7.Really hoping for Sebok and Ivey to do well.

I think he's played a bit, but nothing major. From reading updates about his play though, it seems like he has some maniac tendancies, and I know Soulier isn't scared of getting his chips in either.

Where is all the Esfandiari love??I think he has shown from his appearances on tv that he really has some game..He has an amazing ability to read players and overall a very skilled no limit holdem player.Dennis Phillips story is great too, if he makes a final table it will be an amazing feat. And of course Ivey..If he makes the final nine imagine the prop bets that can be devised in 4 months.

Joe "I Believe I Can Fly" Sebok!!!! Gooooooooooo!
I think he was around 300k for at least a good hour late in the day. Just to get back to a million is impressive.Blinds start at 25k/50k.Jeff Shulman, Blair Rodman, and '07 POTY Tom Schneider still in too. Hoping for Ivey, Esfandiari, Sebok, or Prahlad already out, to make it to November.

Ivey Makes a Hero Call
Phil Ivey opened for 135,000 from late position and Christopher Bach called from the big blind. Both players checked the 9c.gif3s.gif3h.gif flop. The turn came the 9d.gif and Bach bet 150,000. Ivey made the call. The river was the 7s.gif and Bach fired a second barrel for 360,000. Ivey looked him up. Bach had nothing more than qh.gif10h.gif. Ivey's as.gifqc.gif was good and he raked in the pot. He's now up to 7.1 million while Bach fell to 2.2 million.
