Sorry everyone, no conspiracy here. Im not going to discuss my personal issues via a public forum but in a nutshell I had a parasite in my large intestine. I dont know where I got it but it must have been during a port of call on my cruise. I had a weak immune system as it was and this bug reaked havoc. It really was serious for ahwile and my family was scared. My brother was handling my affairs becuse my father is battling cancer and my mother has had her own health issues. My girlfriend had my phone so she could inform my clients and students of my situation and to find instruction elsewhere for awhile. The doctors didnt want me to deal with work and updates because it might cause me stress and make me worse. She didnt tell me of the few texts I recieved from Pat and Scott over the past months because of that. She also knew I was in contact with my friends and family through my email beacuse I was able to use my laptop for for months now. My girlfriend does not know "Trussdude" or "Nutzbuster" so when the texts come in under those names she just assumes they are random people. If Scott would have actually called and left a message she would have notified me or spoken to him directly. She knows Scott from Arizona but not "Nutzbuster". As for the $$$ I owe Pat, he will be paid back immediately when I come home before Thanksgiving. All this would have been cleared up if I would have recieved an email or if a voice message was left for me. My girlfriend doesnt know who I have been in contact with or everyone I know for that matter. She rarely looks at my phone because I havent been getting calls or texts for awhile....but she did tell me she recieved a text last night at 12:30 AM from the "Trussdude" saying "How is Miami Vice?" or something along those lines. She thought it was weird and random and asked me about it. Thats when she told me "Trussdude" has texted me before and she has updated him. As for FCP, I havent visited the site but only a few times just to check out the Gen Forum. I guess I should have logged in and did a search, I would have seen this gem of a thread. When I was at the WSOP Scott told me he was done with FCP and wasnt posting there anymore and since I havent played poker, I never really visited. As for ESPN/Sports sites and yes Miami Vice forum LOL, I havent really posted much. While in the hospital(s) I was given the Miami Vice collection and have been watching all of the seasons and been posting on that site. I never really watched it during its run but I love it now. I appreciate all the well wishes in this thread and I wish I would have seen it when it started. I hope to be able to get to a casino soon and play some pokah !
Your brother sucks at handling your affairs and why didn't YOU contact your clients and students when you were able?I'm not arguing the fact that you might have gotten ill, might not have the money due to the illness or any other reason, but not contacting people when you were able to about money you owed was wrong and makesthe whole story sound like bull. Typical Steelers fan IMHO.

If I needed someone to be a good person to forgive them, I'd never forgive anyone. I feel sorry for anyone who has to live up to someone's arbitrary standard before they get forgiven. Sounds like a miserable world filled with a lot of people hoarding things over other people and never being willing to forgive. And forgiving someone doesn't mean hey I think he's trustworthy again. It just means I know he ****ed up, I know he feels bad about it, and I'm willing to let it go. Doesn't mean I plan on lending him money anytime soon. And I definitely disagree that nobody can change and it's only a matter of time before he does it again. I know people that have done much worse who have completely changed their lives around. Not saying I think Bill is at that point. Just saying, I always look forward to that possibility, which only comes when people forgive you and say hey ok you ****ed up, lets move on and get your life going in the right direction now.Mark
Mark i agree with most of what you said here. I was exaggerrating to make a point. I think you are wayyyyyy to quick to jump on the forgiveness train here. He only said something cause he was caught. He would of gone on with this ALOT longer. Then the guy comes by a writes an OBVIOUS bs explanation. I am all for forgiveness but come on so soon...sorry that isnt me call me a heartless prick

To be fair it's not uncommon for threads to fall off the front page and get overlooked. If Oz was only here on occasion lately, he could easily have missed this thread etc.I mean I just found out that some guy named Specbrad is missing, and he took all his posts with him.

Hi guys, I have spoken with Ozium and have some of the answers we have all been wanting. Jan Hammer used the Roland Jupiter-8 to make the synth sounds in "Crockett's Theme."The episode Julia Roberts appeared in was titled "Mirror Image."and finally yes, Sonny begins wearing jeans in season 5. Glad I could help clear this up.

so he is already forgiven for faking an illness and running off with money for 6 months.(thats yet to be paid back) If i knew people were so easy to give money out id scam them too if theyd forgive me 15 mins later

With that type of info, he will quickly move up the ranks from "Officer" to "Vice Squad Lieutenant" on the MV forum in no time...http://www.miami-vice.org/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=16523

Dude..it's only $1500and there are a lot of people here who are now suddenly so quick to decide whether they forgive or don't forgive Bill.I myself blame Nutz for vouching for him. He's the one who I will probably never forgive.

you've obviously never watched miami vice :club:
I’m sure it was a lovely program. But it’s just so random and non sequitur that it slays me. When making that post, he had one of two objectives: Providing a legitimate explanation as to why things have gone down as they have, and updating everyone on how he’s doing and thanking those who are still concerned about him for their thoughts… -Or-…trying to defend a bullshit story. He also has a few basic audiences for the post: those who are open to an honest explanation and haven’t already decided he’s full of shit, those who have already decided he’s full of shit, and those who are reading purely for entertainment value because they’re bored at work (read: me). So, in the midst of the post he addresses the Miami Vice forum. Fair enough, it was an integral plotline. But, then, something makes him take the Miami Vice point further and he decides to point out:He didn’t watch it originally, but he loves it now. I mean, who cares? Is there any scenario in which anyone who has read this thread, no matter what they think about the situation, can read that part and go, “Oh...well…that helps.”? It just cracks me up that he was cruising along in the post and then had the urge to include that tidbit.

Speaking of non sequitur, all this Miami Vice talk has resulted in "Working for the Weekend" by Loverboy getting stuck in my head, even though I'm willing to bet it had nothing to do with the show.

I put that song with the game Grand Theft Auto: Miami. That game had that Miami Vice vibe. It was in the soundtrack for that game.

Well....yeah.
I will agree that bringing in Cheech is always a positive to any entertainment format, but COME ON!!!Don Johnston without an alligator and a Member's Only jacket is just another coke head actor relying on his hairstylist to carry his no-talent butt from scene to scene.YEA I SAID IT!

I play poker weekly with a dude who's daughter was a producer or something on Nash Bridges and Don used to get all coked up and fire everyone on the set and then she would have to scramble to hire new people in time for the next shooting. She quit after the 4th time he did this. He's a coke-head with a power trip from what I've heard. He tries that with me I'll just smile and look at him and say: "Dead Bang buddy, Dead Bang."

Ahh, I see what you mean. Yeah, I didn't mean to imply that I was just taking his explanation at face value. I know a bunch of the background about all of this and there are at least 10 flat out lies in his post. So certainly he isn't at the point where he's come around and realized he screwed up. I'm just saying, there was a reason we all thought he was a pretty standup guy. It's not inconceivable to me that there is a bad chain of events that he got himself into where he progressively just kept digging himself into a deeper and deeper hole. And now it's all crumbling in on him, so his first reaction is to try and keep digging like he has been. Hopefully he comes around, gets right with the people he needs to (I'm not one of them) and gets his life back on track. If he tells me that's what he wants to do, I will forgive and try and help him do that. (not that I'm in a position to, but if I was his friend or something.) He wouldn't need to prove to me first that he has it all together and is an exemplary citizen again for me to forgive. I'd forgive based on him asking and wanting to change.Mark
