sean23 0
Ultimately, Negreanu repeatedly says No Limit Holden is such a boring game. He keeps understimating most people who play against him, and when they outplay him, he says the guy played horribly bad.2Just before the ME started Daniel wrote a blog of like 14 paragraphs long telling how he was preparing for the Main Event, his expectactions, the strategy he was gonna apply, he says that he watched all six Rocky movies, and lot of other things related to the Main Event. It was quite a long blog.In fact, Daniel got busted early on when he went all in on a 10 7 10 flop with pocket 3s against some guy with QQ. Then he tweets this words: 'Out of the wsop and don't really care. So sick I just need a bed.' I mean, I believe Daniel has many poker followers specially beginners, and saying that he doenst care being eliminated from the most prestigious poker tournament of the world, is at least irresponsible-What it makes it even more interesting, is when i go back to his blog in fullcontactpoker.com his WSOP ME blog was no longer there, it was eliminated. I really thought he didnt really care but he care enough to take out his looong blog on his Main Event performance because he was busted in a ridiculous play and he feels dissapointed???Daniel is not paid to pull down the No Limit Holdem game or to say he doenst really care being out of the biggest poker tournament that any poker player dreams to win. He used to incentivate people to play the game, learn about the theory, its strategies and he has in fact many video lessons and so. but ultimately he behaves the other way round blasting NLHE, saying he doenst really care getting busted from his last shot of the year and closing the WSOP 2009 with no bracelets. His contradictory tweets and many other stuff gives another impression of Daniel Negreanu. I always respect him for being someone who in some way popularized NLHE but now he is just behaving the opposite way, maybe he was just in bad mood, or whatever, but his contradictions are soooooooooo evident. Pot Odds RAC 23
"This will be short. Just finished writing a column for USA Today for the July 6th issue and thought I'd let y'all know what exactly happened to me in the main event. Never have I played worse. Comically bad. My bust out hand is just so fundamentally bad I'd be hard pressed to come up with any kind of logical argument for the way I played it..."Yeah. This sounds like he really seems to be hiding from the truth.Clearly he had a pretty horrible WSOP - Only 8 Cashes and two Final tables (and an additional Top 10) and ending up in the Top Ten for Player of The Year.Just Horrible. All while continuing to support his Charitable causes, personal appearances, and generally maintaining his patented personable style. He still incentivates me to play and be successful in an admirable manner. sean23 0
http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/poker-jour...&ucat=&Here`s Daniel`s blog about his play in the main event and how sick he`s feeling. This is not the blog I was referring to,,,but another blog before his Main Event performance which was posted in this site.Btw, I never said Daniel had a bad WSOP at all. We could say he had a horribly Main Event but im not speaking about his overall WSOP results which werent horrible at all. If you read my posts im speaking about his attitude. I mean I don't think he motivates people by saying NLHE is a boring game, when we know it's the most popular kind of poker by far. And removing a blog because he was busted early on in the tournament is soooo lame.I still believe Daniel Negreanu is a great player, probably better in the other games than in NLHE, but he lasts comments and his further 'don't care' feeling about being busted from the most prestigious tournament for a poker player is quite shameful. I hardly believe someone like Phil Hellmuth will ever say he doesn't care being busted from the Main Event, he is way more passionate for NLHE, and results show it though. vbnautilus 49
Look man, you've come to the wrong place. This is Daniel's home turf. Folks around here don't take too kindly to strangers showing up to badmouth our man. Every member of this forum is ready to vigorously defend DN's honor using whatever means necessary. People, put on your Stacked t-shirts and prepare to do battle.

For some reason connected to his USA Today column a request was made by others to take it down.Daniel is honest in his writing. I guess you would rather he lied and said that he loved NL Holdem over all other forms of poker. Well sorry to burst your bubble but a lot of players who have been around poker for longer than 5 years enjoy playing other games than NL Holdem and find it boring.

And assuming DN in some way popularized the game with his video lessons and strategy writings, etc I find it contradictory that now he blasts on the game (I learnt to play real NLHE because of his tips, articles and videos) Even if he feels that it is soo boring I don't think he should constantly say it all the time. He perfecetly knows what he says has quite an impact on poker beginners , so I think it's irresponsible.

It would help if you could produce his job description form that shows his required actions as the main poker player in the world. I bet he could lose his job over this. Pot Odds RAC 23
Hey, he used "incentivate" in a sentence.this alone legitimizates the neologism. Thanks for adding a new word to my vocabulary. In psychiatry, the term neologism is used to describe the use of words that only have meaning to the person who uses them, independent of their common meaning. This is considered normal in children, but a symptom of thought disorder (indicative of a psychotic mental illness, such as schizophrenia) in adults....and very appropriate in the current context.Since "neologism" is a term that has not yet actually been accepted word into mainstream language, does that make neologism a neologism? sean23 0
it's an economic term used for motivation. It's probably not in a standard dictionary,,,,but we use so many words that are not on the dictionaryhere is another example where this word applies:does lower income tax really incentivate people to work harder?? (stocksandblogs.com)However the center of discussion had been clearly distorted.

sean23 0
how strange I saw that word quite many times in economic books like when employers incentivate,,,which is a synonym for motivation but with rewards.Go and ask an economist and he will explained the exact meaning of the word. It is obviously jargon, u will hardly find it in a dictionary but in economy u might use it often.
