Suited_Up 2
I think JamesD is Mark Reynolds.Edit: More strikeouts than hits, but when he connects, he's got the ability to hit it out.

JoeyJoJo 18
A replacement poster should be defined as anyone who posts regularly in Gen Po, or anyone who posts at all in OT-Ent.Thread views should also be factored in to the playoff status of a thread. From now on, under your avatar it will display your EqPosts instead of just the total number of posts, which is really more like At Bats.edit: OT-Rel is Coors Field.I like that you’re thinking about this, but I disagree with your sentiments on the entertainment and religion forums. There’s a lot of good discussion in entertainment while religion tends to be the same arguments over and over again. Either way, I’m viewing this as an Off-Topic General only league.I’m not sure I see how thread views are relevant. Are you suggesting that a thread needs X replies and Y views? I guess I can see how that would make sense. If a thread has a lot more views than replies, then that means there’s a lot of people reading which equates to the increased audience of a playoff game. But I don’t think there would be enough variance in the ratio where this would come into play all that often. I believe Balloonguy has theorized that a 10:1 view to reply ratio is ideal, for what it’s worth.
speedz99 145
Maybe I missed something, but I don't see how threads themselves and their accompanying stats (views, etc) are relevant here. What does that have to do with any given post by any given poster? Is a Sick Thread single an I Joined A Gym triple? More importantly, should that "an" in the previous sentence be an "a"? Because I think it should.

Then we can have all kinds of fruitless discussions on whether certain posters are clutch or not. Also, even though I said that the season started Monday, I think I might have to throw this thread out because it contains so many posts about this particular subject. It's like in Back to the Future where you see your future self. Or maybe it's more like Kramer at the nexus of the universe. Either way, how do you score a post that is about scoring a post? I feel left out. Restatement: I FRIEND YOU. Explanation: For emphasisLet talk about where people would bat in a lineup.Wang is your typical 3 - Hits for a good average, some power a little speed.Sal is your traditional 4 hitter, constantly comes in and cleans off the bases.I'm a lead off guy, I get on base a lot, allow others to bring me home.I'm thinking Speedz in the 2 hole, Balloon Guy is a good 5. Hits for power, lots of big swings, doesn't always connect.I think we can all agree that SuitedAces21 is the Rob Deer of posters. Need to put some thought into 6-9 and a DH plus pinch hitters.I am glad I'm hitting in the three-hole metaphorically, but I'm wondering if it's apt. I've been thinking about it quite a bit, and here's what I think about about my posting tendencies:1) Above all else, I see a lot of pitches. Whether you like what I have to say or not, I'm going to compress a ton of fucking words in every post. I hypothesized about a month ago that, among qualified posters, I have to be a huge favorite for highest "words/post" count. Compare to: Bobby Abreu.2) I have a low K-rate. I rarely offer ultra-worthless content, and almost never whiff completely. Compare to: Juan Pierre.3) I have very good power to the gaps, but underwhelming HR power. I've got an outside shot at 30+ HR, but am probably going to end up with 15-20 HR and 40-50 doubles. Compare to: Nick Markakis.I could keep going, but that's probably enough. I'm patient, I square the ball up pretty well, drive it to the gaps, and put it in play. I'd say I'm closer to a #2 hitter than anything. I think JamesD is Mark Reynolds.Edit: More strikeouts than hits, but when he connects, he's got the ability to hit it out.Yeah, I'm pretty sure we knew what you were saying before the edit...
