Another Boring Multi Table Question

My roll is currently $125 and I'm playing solely $1.75 man turbo 18 man SNG's. Using a standard 5% rule I could move up and play the $6.50 games, however I 12 table. Therefore, my total outlay per game is $21. Well above any sort of BRM guidelines. Would I really need a BR of $450 to play these games. My circumstances are fine, I'm a recreational player and can reload at any point. But let's be serious and assume I want to build a serious bankroll from this. Are my chances good? I run at around 10% ROI in the games I'm in. I would like to hear your views.

I consider myself a pretty decent sng player, but recently, I hit an 18 buyin downswing.I've had KK cracked 8 time in a row now, etc. Lucky for me, my tilt control seems to be holding and hopefully, I can break even by the end of the week.My point is you probably won't go broke with 20 buyins, but you definitely could. Anybody could with sufficiently horrible bad luck. I work with around 65 buyins for the levels I play (usually 6 tabling) which is super nitty. I think 40 is fine for people who can brush off a bad streak and don't mind moving down levels when they fall below that.What I find amusing about Chris F.'s bankroll rules is that they were used by a professional poker player, not a learning amateur. Yet, people seem to think they're great for everybody. They're better than no bankroll management rules at all, but every player should develop their own.Anyway, personally, I would recommend 40 buyins for someone who's going to be playing a new level for the first time, 12 tabling it with only a ROI of 10 percent at the $1.75 level.GL!!

12-tabling $1.75, 18-mans? Sheesh, talk about grinding. How about moving up to the next level and play half the number of tables? Fewer tables to concentrate on, better rake, better return.

Cheers for the advice guys, come to this solution:Won't move up to the next level until I have a 100 buy ins ($340 for the $3.40).Will move back down to $1.75's if I dip below 75 buy ins.Super super nitty and super super safe so we'll see how this goes.

I sorry maybe because I have never played more that 8 sng's I just can't how 12 tables unless you have a poker tracker ace hud you are able to play well. Do you play long ball or small ball because I would assume that you would play longer ball and that would leave a lot of room for variance so idk you should probably cut down on the number of tables and use standard BRM schemes. I have found 4 tables to be hard to catch truly everything, maybe I am a donk but 12 just sounds kind of crazy. I mean say it out loud to yourself,... 12 tables!!!!!! Good luck thou, some people can just truly do it and more power to you if you can.

I wouldnt move up. If u go on a bad swing, and maybe play a little bid bad because of it then half ur roll is gone.
