Mongoose6 0
Hand occured last night at my local casino. Buy in £30 for 6000 chips. Starting blinds 50/100, roughly doubling every 20 mins.I thought for ages on the river, but is there a hnd that we can beat bar A-rag?3rd hand.Me + villain ~7000 chipsim in the cuttoff with Qs8s. Several ppl limp, so i join, as its the kind of hand ( i feel ) that if i hit it big, i can double up early on.FLOP = Qc 8d Jc. Bingo. (pot - 500 ) Lots of draws out, but i feel with almost 100% certainty that i have the best of it.Checked round, i bet 350. BB calls. UTG calls. Everyone else folds.TURN = Ah (pot - 1550)BB leads out 800. UTG calls. I think, and call. K10 got there, but what else...higher 2 pair?RIVER = 2d (pot - 3950)BB leads out again 1600. UTG folds str8 away (obv missed draw.) I think for a while, and fold it face up. Everyone looks at me like im a complete idiot.Am I? I just figured what could i beat really? And calling 1600... i would have lost like 1/2 of my stack straight away, when i was pretty sure i was behind. Was i too nitty?I ask BB if he had me beat, he nods, but then laughs to the players next to him 2 mins later. What would you have done? Thanks, guys.EDIT: I am a complete mongo lol. I posted one little mistake. The flop contained Q8J not Q87.I was wondering why the 1st response was "how did k10 get there" LOL And does 910 ever play it this way?Am i still ahead a fair amount of the time? I amn't usually this nitty... I know, my english is awesome.
SwolyswoND 1
Raise the turn. Villain would be c/r you if he turned a higher two pair, he might just have a naked Ace but more likely he's throwing a blocker to draw, as the Ace is a scare card. I raise turn to 2500.
BeaverStyle 1
This looks like Ax clubs more than a higher two pair... I would probably raise turn but as played, call river.
XXEddie 0
I call river. I think villian shows up with AcXc a lot thinkin he is value-betting. Maybe even making blocker bets with QJ/QT-ish....This could also be a weaker two pairYou could be beat, but I think it is a somewhat low % and you are getting a decent price... DocHoliday 0
All draws missed, and you have more than decent hand to showdown. I do not see any dilemma here, esp. not in this kind of tournament (since I often play tourneys in this range of buy in). Insta call IMO.
Fade2241 0
I really think this hand should be read dependant (I prob call with no reads) but next time if you do fold please do not show your cards! You're sending a message you can be bluffed while holding a big hand and you're almost certainly going to face more bets/spots like this in the future of the tourney. Giving anyone more info on you when it's unnecessary is a big mistake.
Vinny_Barberino 0
Yeah, I have shown a bluff, and I have shown an uncalled big hand, in certain specific circumstances... I have never shown a "look at this monster I folded" there is no benefit other then to show weakness. I call here with no reads, he could have AJ, A8, thats about all I see that beats us..My most likely hand is Ax of clubs...

Jimberry 0
Don't fold face up. Why give them free information?
