gmanshade 0
ESPN's coverage of this year's WSOP will be quite brief compared to the previous few years. They are only broadcasting the main event and the $40k Nl holdem event. Does anyone know what this means for our good friend Norman Chad? I know he has a column for the Washington Post called "Couch Slouch," but I doubt that pays much of anything. I wonder what he is going to do now that poker is out of the spotlight.gmanshade

NickZepp 0
Basically only 4 events covered but just many episodes. I'm pretty sure Chad only plays stud events and he cashed for the first time ever this year.

wildspoke 2
I think it's a big so what. The casual fan only watches to see who wins the main event. They don't watch the H.O.R.S.E or any other event because they don't understand it. If you're passionate about the game, you're watching it online as it happens. I actually prefer to watch it without hole cards. So I find ESPN's coverage boring. ESPN coverage is nothing but highlight reel.
tbrick412 0
I think Norman Chad will land on his feet...it's Lon I'm worried about....there is always room for someone in this world who can see a turn card come an unimportant 3 of spades and still make it exciting.
