How many teams play an 8 game road trip this year? Or even a 6? We all get that there is a break between them. It's still 14 away in a row.. What do you want to call it? Back on the ice! Go Nucks!Edit: With a couple quick google searches I now find that a lot of teams have 6-7 game road trips and 1 has an 8 gamer (Chicago) Oopsssss. :club:
The Leafs wont play a home game for a stretch of 21 games....From Oct 17 to November 7

Daniel, Salo...Lui on crack...Uggghh. bumpy start. hopefully the Nucks are pulling the yesteryears-Flames stunt where they suck for 10 games and then tear up the league.

Kyle Wellwood just scored one of the greatest goals in league history..Unfortunately it was a second too late..WOW

Trying to find a link of the replay on line, if you guys havent seen it its amazing. It was a an Ovechkinesque, Gretzkian type of goal...The whole sequence was unbeliavable..With like 30 seconds left, Hemsky(i think) had a break away on the empty net that was stopped with an amazing clean diving play. Then with 7 or 8 seconds left Wellwood takes the puck and dekes the whole Edmonton team and puts the puck in JUST and I mean just as time expires. They had a video review, but it was clearly about a second too late..If the goal counts, it may go down as one of the greatest goals of all time...

Chicago, both basketball and hockey, have a western road trip in November when the circus comes to town. That lasts 6 games for the hawks this year. Then later in the year from Jan. 16 to Jan. 30 they go on an 8 game trip.1/16- bluejackets1/17- redwings1/19- Senators1/21- flames1/23- canucks1/26- oilers1/28- sharks1/30- hurricanes this I don't get, you couldn't have then play someone like phoenix at the end?

That's literally when I started watching as well.
Not sure how intense the game was before the incident, but its amazing to see how calm the game is after such delays. Few hits, little gruntwork, no hard skating. Understandable I suppose.I noticed the same thing after the Tucker incident.

Really? There was a late hit on an icing in the same period after the incident and then a fight shortly after that.

Things were calm until that happened. I still can't decide if that was a dirty play, or just a hustle play by Glass.

I didn't think it really was. If the league or players don't want that stuff in the game because it is either hustle or a dirty hit then just go to the international rule on blowing icing.I was happy to see a fight though because we never have anyone who can throw the gloves down and fight.

whats the story on Luongo? I just heard a quick radio blurb that he is out an indefinite period of time.
Roberto Luongo will miss at least a week with a hairline fracture in his ribs.Luongo originally sustained the injury on Saturday and then aggrevated it during the third period of Tuesday's game when Alex Edler's hit on Todd Bertuzzi caused him to crash into Luongo. He finished the game, but he allowed four goals in the final period and didn't speak to the media afterwords. The Canucks are hoping that he'll only miss a week but he could end up on the sidelines for longer than that. "There is no definite timeline, because it's really about the amount of pain that you've got there," Luongo said. "I'm definitely not playing these next two games."

who needs Luongo when you have Raycroft.
lol. His first shutout since playing as a Leaf in Buffalo!I will take a win any way I can and he surely feels less pressure now. Getting out of the fishbowl that is Leafs Nation was good for him.

  • 2 weeks later...
Calling all Canucklehead fans...."Luongo is BACK"ok, so I'm also to blame for this thread dying
I am alot like Loungo. It takes me a 4-6 weeks to become intrested at the begining of a new season. Just hope the injury bug is over with for the year its been brutal.
