timwakefield 68
Yep Pokerstars credited my check from last week back to my account, and sent me a letter telling me that I can cash out again via personal check and it will work. They also gave me a 10% bonus on the redeposit of my withdrawal, which is nice (I wish my withdrawal had been larger!).

Tugglife2 0
You can deposit on Full Tilt with a Visa credit card and have been able to for a whileThis is exactly what I did. I think it's strange I can deposit on Full Tilt with my Visa but not PokerStars. That being said, anyone want to trade $50 Full Tilt for $50 PokerStars.

GreeneStreet 0
Has anyone used the Click2play option? I was thinking about setting up an account through them, but I was having some problems. Namely they keep saying that my IP address is outside of the US, UK and EU. I live in Jersey...

hblask 1
Game over? WASHINGTON - An advocacy group for online poker says the federal government has frozen the accounts of payment processors that handle the winnings of thousands of online poker players. The Poker Players Alliance says those winnings are worth upward of $30 million. The alliance tells The Associated Press that the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York told three banks to freeze the accounts. A document obtained by the AP shows that a judge in the district issued a seizure warrant last week for an account at a Wells Fargo bank in San Francisco. The Justice Department has long maintained that Internet gambling is illegal, a view that the poker group challenges.

tbrick412 0
So should we pull all of our money off of the site? Any suggestions from FCP Bob?
FCP Bob 1,320
So should we pull all of our money off of the site? Any suggestions from FCP Bob?I won't presume to tell anybody what they should do. I will point out that this isn't the first time that sites like Stars and Tilt have had a check processor's bank account frozen. The amount of money involved may seem large but for a site like Stars it isn't.From other things I have read Stars is sending out checks from different processors already to American players. What I will advise is that you may want to make sure that you aren't in a situation where you need your online money to get to you quickly. Make sure that you plan things with the assumption that there are going to be times where your money may not get to you instantly.Edit: For non-Americans there is no issue at all. I received a cheque today from Stars that I requested on Sunday night and I received money to my Moneybookers account from another site within 12 hours of making the request. tbrick412 0
ugh i just cashed out half my roll to be safe... now i'm not rolled for what i want to play. this is frustrating and its sickening that the US government can intrude on people's freedoms like this.
tbrick412 0
sorry for posting so much in this thread buthttp://www.fulltiltpoker.com/official-stat...ker-withdrawalsIn light of recent events involving freezing of certain poker players’ money in the United States of America, Full Tilt Poker would like to assure all players that their funds remain safe and secure. Processing of both deposit and withdrawal requests is proceeding as normal and is still available to all of our players in the US.The issue involving the freezing of some funds affected only one of the many check processors that Full Tilt Poker uses to support player withdrawals. We do not expect any further interruption in check withdrawals or any other withdrawal methods, and any player who wishes to make a withdrawal should expect normal processing times. All players who were affected by the current situation have had their funds returned to their Full Tilt Poker accounts and all new withdrawal requests are processing normally. We assure all of the players on Full Tilt Poker that your online playing experience will not change and that you will be able to both deposit and withdraw funds as needed. Your money remains safe, secure and always accessible at all times.Full Tilt Poker remains committed to the protection of our players’ security and legal rights, and will continue to provide the best – and safest – online poker room available worldwide. So it seems this isn't affecting all the processors which is in line with what everyone is saying about this so far... but my $0.02 is that all processors are gonna go down eventually, and eventually it will be unprofitable for these sites to serve the US market
potatoman 0
Man, if I was a U.S. citizen I would be severely pissed off!! The climate up in Canada is such that if this ever become an issue, and I expect it never would, people just wouldn't put up with this crap. What the hell happened to personal freedoms?!From the whole 10 minutes I've spend reading up on this, I would say some people are may be overreacting. But, it's probably best to play it cautiously for the next couple of weeks.Has Stars put out any sort of press release on the issue?
