Final Update from Vegas:Well I am out and it was quick. Went out in 235th. All that good luck to survive yesterday caught up with me.About 5 hands in, I am in the BB with about 12K. Mizrachi raises to 3300, Short stack pushes for 4800 total, I find QQ in the BB and shove. Mizrachi folds and short stack shows AQ. Flop contains a dirty ace and I am down to 7000. Two hands later I am on the button with AdKd. Folds to me. I shove, SB calls, BB raises all in, SB calls. Yikes.I was actually in ok shape as they flipped QQ and JJ respectively. Board came 8686J. Tough luck for me (and the guy with queens as their side pot was pretty big).Oh well, I got into this for 26 bucks through a Full Tilt bracelet race so I 100x my money. Not too shabby for my first ever event. Hopefully, I can come out again next year. Thanks for all the support and good luck to any FCPers who are still in.
hard luck but glad you were able to pull out a win. I think from now on everyone should call you and you should write everyone's vegas trip reports. Awesome job. Go roll some dice and tell us a story about how you held the dice for two hours kicked ass then TJ heard all the commotion came over and lost within two rolls he came over.

Thank you all for the support and compliments on my trip reporting. (I would have posted this sooner but I started work today....busy busy times.) I figured people would enjoy a perspective of the WSOP from a total newbie. It really was a crazy experience. The best was going to watch the ESPN feature table and seeing the supporters of a final table contestant playing Chinese Poker on a small table as they rooted on their friend.Degeneracy, ftw. There was just money being thrown around everywhere and the size of the cash games was impressive. (I saw a couple great monster pots played at 10/25/50 PLO.)I would recommend that anyone who loves poker and can scrape together 2500 bucks go out there and play an event and soak in the experience. Plus, now if you google my name, you can find my WSOP or CardPlayer profile. It's like I am a real poker player. (and I think I have the best WSOP cash rate on FCP, 100% weeeeeeeeeeee!)

As cheesy as it may sound to some people, that IS pretty cool. :club: Great trip report!
