I have a good hand.Flop, I was essentially bluffing, but knowing if he doesn't have a set, I have great odds on my redraws, and I am in good shape if he has a wrap.Semi-bluff is all it was. FARGOpokerND 22 Posted June 1, 2009 Share Posted June 1, 2009 what redraws do you have???if he has a hand like T9 or T4 or 94, I have AKQJ as outs.If he has a hand like QJ8, well I have 1 K and 1 Q killed and a J gives me higher straight.If he has a hand like JJxx, I have AKQJ9 as outs, QQxx I have AKJ9Basically what I am saying is I thought whatever he had, he would have a tough time calling unless he had wrap or set or 2pair, which I have decent outs against 2pair and I am ready to gamble versus a wrap.I was pretty sure he didn't have set as I think he would bet that harder on a flop that is somewhat drawheavy (any JT T9 J9 combo)EDIT: 42448 at break Link to post Share on other sites

I love when players mis-read a hand and go off on a tangent about something they are just totally wrong about.Not to mention, i just love this line. There's nothing like calling a pre-raise getting it to HU, and basically just know (based on the hero flop bet/light raise by V/V check on turn)your opponent is sitting there with AAxx just writhing about having to fold, but knowing he should. It's also great to get that huge turn bet paid off on your bluff when the ugly flop hits because your J-hole villian is saying "ok....I'm gonna take a shot here on the turn, cause I got a mutha-****a monster known as AA. If i can make a set on this river, or even if the board pairs to maybe give me a suckout better 2 pair, then I'll probably donk off all my chips on this river!"
