Shark527 0
Since the boom, poker has become its own business. Top big name players are cashing in on their fame and doing books, appearances, camps, training sites, advertising, pretty much just selling poker now.DN and many other pro's don't play as many big buy in events anymore because they don't have too. Poker itself isn't a bankroll builder anymore. If anyone in here were a grinder for all those years and these opportunities came up, who wouldn't take them?
rcgs59 15
gg Daniel, there are still lots of other events out there.
XXEddie 0
While I believe your point is somewhat true, rivers is being overly douchey about it.This. DN isn't at the top of his game it appears, and yes this one tourney doesn't mean that, but rivers is acting as if he sucks just because he doesn't 'dominate'. I would consider last year a win for him though, sir. He won a bracelet, 5th in the ME at the WSOPE and then won the BC Poker Championship....right? Maybe that was this year, but again. He is better than this douche is trying to imply.and yeah, lol at Lee's play there. Pretty standard internet 'OMG, he obv has AK' type play.
NickZepp 0
Let's see how long this lasts. Chris Ferguson Eliminated; Moneymaker Continues to Roll After a flop jd9h8s of and with 23,000 in the pot, Chris Moneymaker bets 9,000 from the small blind and Humberto Brenes calls from the big blind. Chris "Jesus" Ferguson then moves all in from the high jack for 71,000. Moneymaker tanks for a moment before making the call. Brenes gets out of the way. Chris Ferguson shows 10h10s for a pair with a open ended straight draw. Moneymaker has him in bad shape with j10c. Chris can only hit one card to win and only has about a 30% chance to split the pot. The turn and river are blanks and Ferguson is eliminated. Meanwhile, Moneymaker appears to be the current chip leader with 415,000.

XXEddie 0
DN, Howard L, Phil Laak, Annie DukeLederer took a long absence from the game, but I believe he took down the 100k buyin event at the Aussie Millions in 08. He is not overrated at all. I don't know too many people who think duke and/or Laak are that good.
