irishguy 14
Pretty funny to run an entire interview with hard line questioning about "pleading guilty" when he never plead guilty, a tad unprofessional. Also I don't know him or whether or not he was guilty but his comment to a 12yr old girl was beyond inappropriate and I wouldn't let my kid near him after hearing that, let alone any thing else he's accused of. I mean I'm sure part of the craziness is unrelated senility, but game recognizes game; that dude digs little girls.
aucu 3
that dude digs little girls. If you had daughters you might understand better how you can love a sweet little girl enough to give up your life for her..Personally I never belived that Slim was slim but I don't know him.I'd take Doyles word on it. Could be. But I do know this: when the inevitable day comes when I'm asked about what happened in the dressing room or whatever, I'm going to tone that affection down a few notches for the cameras. hank213 1,823
As someone who has had a fair share of dealings with the american judicial system I can completely understand the line Slim took pleading no contest. Sometimes the price of a loss is just too high to accept the risk, no matter how small. Sure he could have brought out a bunch of witnesses in his defense etc etc but there's always a possibility that the jury/judge will see things differently than you. Especially for a gambler in matter where character could play such a large role in the defense strategy. That being said, Dutch can smell his own so Slim probably did something untoward. Dirtydutch 8
Yeah, game recognizes game. I have no clue whether or not he ever actually touched the girl inappropriately. His line implies greater chance than I would have thought otherwise, and the way he talks about it doesn't help that, but mostly it just really, really makes him seem like he thinks about the girl in a way that adults don't like to think about children. Like Aucu said, it's possible that my inexposure to kids just makes it impossible for me to empathize with this common, respected-as-"healthy" kind of demeanor toward kids. I don't think he needs to be in jail or anything, and I don't particularly care what he did or didn't do. I just think the way he talks makes him come off like a pedophile. Dirtydutch 8
This is all I can think about when you say that:I'd say that's an accurate association. I would find it more appropriate if he were sitting on the hood of an ice cream truck, but, valid.

looshle 6
NOLAN DALLA: But now you say you have your family's support. At what point did they come back to you and want to move on?AMARILLO SLIM: Yeah. They came to me when they realized they had it all wrong. I can't remember when exactly that was, but all of a sudden everybody was calling and visiting and everything. We were all sitting in the same room, eating the same food, swimming in the same pool. Everybody did a complete 360.So they still ignore you?

Let that be a lesson: if you're gonna' touch a kid, touch a poor kid.

JoblessBast 0
We were in the cab of a one-ton pickup. I said, we've got to put this thing in four-wheel drive or we are going to be out here all day [and get stuck]. I reached down there like this to shift and put it in four-wheel drive. My grandbaby was there and she had one leg [near the gear shift]. I reached over and patted her on the leg and said, "I'll bet that feels good." Also I don't know him or whether or not he was guilty but his comment to a 12yr old girl was beyond inappropriate and I wouldn't let my kid near him after hearing that, let alone any thing else he's accused of.When I first read that I thought the same thing. But I think he may have been being sarcastic and it's tough to get that tone from the writing. As in, say you see someone using a rock for a pillow or something, and you say, "Wow, that looks comfortable..."Possible, or naive?

BigDMcGee 3,352
Slim is a silver tongued liar and anything he says should be assumed to be a lie. After this season's HSP, I didn't think I could think DN could possible be a bigger sucker than he appears to be on that show, but after reading his blog, I sold him short. mrpaddyx 13
Slim may be guilty or not but if I was innocent of such a heinous crime I would go through every possible legal process to make sure my name was cleared. The stigma of being branded a paedophile does not go away easily.
bigcoled 1
I think it was def worse that what slim depicts... it's too bad what he's done in his senility has to tarnish his life of hustling, cheating, and outright swindling almost every person he's ever come across.
StrippersNBlow 0
The worst part was him talking about the fact that it doesn't make sense because he's impotent.
