The med cruise is for you then, lots of ruins, 3 stops in Italy, start in Barcelona. Finish up in Nice. Great cruise
I would love to do that.....except the wife is all about seeing new places instead of re-doing places we really like. It is a constant argument that she seems to win out on most of the time. The only far away places we have been twice are Italy and Amsterdam.

No, about 7th on my list of places to go next. After Australia, Bangkok, Germany, Israel, back to Russia, China, and AfricaMainly because it is too expensive.
It doesn't matter about the price... you need to go. It's great. MAKE SURE YOU GO IN WINTER!!!! When we went it was summer and it was 105 at night, with like 95% humidity.Everyone speaks English and it's an unbelievable city. I have about 200 pictures if you need me to prove to you how great it is.Delta has a direct flight from Atlanta.

I hear they have a nice fleet. Also there are literally hundreds of thousands of Indians that live and work there. At the airport all the Indians try to get you in their cabs, and many were pimping city tours. I think the first tour I was offered was $280/hr. We ended up getting a 5 hour personal tour for $80.

just checked out a trip to Dubai from 12/15----12/24. Can fly from Miami to Dubai (thru Zurich on SwissAir) and stay at a Hilton on Jumiera Beach or at a Le Meridien downtown for about 2K per person. Thats not so horrible. Tourism must be off worldwide.I am saving up to stay at the Burj Al Arab (seven star hotel, ftw). They have a restaurant you go to by submarine. By submarine!

I personally dislike Barcelona, the whole city is disjointed between the small gothic old square and the vast, spacious 90's construction. Little biased here but Andalucia is the place to be - Sevilla, Granada, Malaga for the culture and great countryside on the travels and the beach is a few hours away.

I loved Sevilla, but I thought the combination of old world, new world feel in Barcelona was cool not bad.
