San DiegoGood: Nearly everything. Cuisine could be better, but I guess LA isn't too far away. Bad: Out of state visitors who are either too pale, ugly, and wear socks with sandals + San Diego t-shirts or a combo of some sort. Black gangsters at the beach in full denim outfits.

I live in a pretty low key neighborhood (Bayview) in Milwaukee. I'm a few blocks from the lake and the neighborhood is full of mom and pop stores, bars, and restaurants. It's nice to know when i'm spending cash in the area, it's (mostly) staying in the area. It's pretty laid back, alot of people ride bikes or walk around and everyone is very friendly. The down side is that they bus all the kids from the shitty area into my neighborhood, cause the schools are safer. One of the main bus stops is in front of my apt. The kids litter, tag everything, do stupid shit (put their McDonalds trash in my mailbox instead of the trash can 15 feet away)and constantly make a shit ton of noise. It's cool except from like 8-9am and 3-4pm on school days when the monsters linger on my stoop waiting for the bus. I can't wait for school to let out so the kids go away for a few months.Tom.

I wanna try borscht, you got a spot?
Actually the only Polish restaurant I go to repeatedly is not in Greenpoint, it's on 1st ave between 6th and 7th in Manhattan. It's called Polonia's, and it's not a particular stand-out from other Polish restaurants, but it's a place my uncle has been going to for years so we go there a lot. It's at least as good as any of the local Polish places I've gone to, and like a lot of the places around here it's really cheap and relaxed. So I wouldn't take a date there for example, but it's a great place to eat.

ColoradoBest: 300+ days of sunshine a year, Mountains 1.5-3 hours out of Denver, tons of golf courses, lots of pro sports teams, Red Rocks AmphitheaterWorst: Transplants, hippies
I always thought that Denver was smoggy when I visited there. Do you think so or is it only downtown. Also, what do you think of Colorado Springs? I'm considering moving there when I graduate.

West Palm Beach, FLGood: Very close to the beach, if you like that sort of thing, good weather for 6 months, big city (Miami) and 4 major sports teams only an hour away, tons of womenBad: an ungodly amount of old people, foreigners (some are good, most have no urge to learn english) very hot for 8ish months of the year, rains every day during the summer, humidity, did I mention old people?

Traffic has gotten so bad recently that there is definitely smog in the downtown area during the morning and afternoon commutes, but outside of the city and in the mountains you couldn't ask for better air quality, while still being in a mid-major city.Colorado springs is cool... only an hour south of Denver if you want to do something up there... Pretty cheap to live in Colorado Springs. Also, starting July 1st, our casions will have $100 max bet, so instead of playing stupid 2-5/5-5 limit, we'll be able to play 10-20 limit, all the way up to 50-100... not sure how they are going to do the NL...Point is, moving to CO is +ev compared to MN because it's warmer, closer to Vegas and the Nuggets are Waaay better than the T-Wolves...

no love for cityplace or sunfest? or at least Rachel's steakhouse? I admit that Jehovah's Witnesses taking over the WPB auditorium was a major blow.

I think I've went to Scumfest once just to see a band. Haven't been to CityPlace in a while. It is a cool spot though. Haven't been to Rachel's in years. I finally figured out that strip clubs are a waste of money. I can spend the same on a hooker and close the deal. Decent food though. I like my strip clubs dirtier, a la T's

IndianapolisBest: Low cost of living in a somewhat big city with a fair amount of culture and a lot of green space.Worst: Being very far from the sea. I miss the sea.
Go go go Lake Michigan :club: (not even close, I know)I miss Indy; the weather, common sense people, Pacers/Colts, the local poker clubs we used to have, low cost of living, and more.

Bakersfield, CABest: Probably the cheapest place to live in CA with most of the benefits of being in the state, close enough to Vegas, LA, beach etc., sunny all the time, local casino with a main attraction being live poker from 2-4 lhe to 10-20 nlhe and weekly tournaments from freerolls - $100 freezeouts (they have some bigger buy-in tourneys spread through out the year), 365 days/yr golfWorst: WAY too hot for me and can't afford AC, city is known as trashy by the rest of the state (and that's true at times, too), ridiculously high unemployment rate, below average schools, too hard to find decent people (my standards really aren't high; it's just Bakersfield)

I grew up on the Central California coast (San Luis Obispo and then various towns in Monterey County, my favorite being Pacific Grove), so I too have the same feelings about Bakersfield that most CA residents do. Plus I despise the desert. The only reason I don't hate Vegas is because it's set up so I basically don't have to go outside.
