him having threads would probably require him to make a ft, which would probably mean he'd have to advance past level 1 thinking.
How many XP points do you need to reach level II?
lol this is pretty hof, i remember getting flamed once because supposedly i didnt respect peoples opinions because they werent good at poker!!!
I didn't read the start to the drama but came to the conclusion some wannabe critiqued a hand and then got berated.
Its really no wonder why there are less people joining this forum, fewer people sticking around, fewer new topics, and overall less traffic. We should start an over/under on a timeline.

Yeah, I have no idea why everyone piled on you like they did. :club: Maybe it's because the guy posted a bustout hand to vent his frustration a little not for strategy advice and you decided to critique his play in a dickish kind of way. The way you worded your post to his HH would have made all the difference in the world, but you came off like a douche. Leave the strategy advice to the strat forums, because most hands posted in Gen are just people venting after a bustout.

100% agree..i didnt post the hand asking any questions about it..busted 89th/4k in the $300 ftops with 250k on the line..you didnt ask me what my line was on the hand, anything about dynamics or reads, etc...you posted your opinion after seeing one HH from 8 hours of play.. LOLeveryone jumped on you because one, you went about it in a poor manner, and two, youre opinion is pretty bad..

^^^ThisI jumped on the guy because of his tone and on top of that he was way off, by no means is that a horrible call.

disagree with leaving strat for strat forums...thats just ridiculous to limit it to that
Well, unless someone asks for some help of course. Not with just a raw HH with results included posted in the Sunday thread is what I meant.

meh still disagree wholeheartedly....if your looking to improve you should be open minded and not be so mad if someone is trying to look at your hand and find a better line to takeobv people should critique hands in a constructive manner tho

agree if it's constructive and not completely standard.

I agree that people should open minded etc. and not see someone critiqueing their play as an insult.However...a rail thread is not the place to criticise a hand, ESPECIALLY, someone's bust out hand in a big tourney. When people have just busted from a big tournament, they are generally not in a good mood and they do not want to hear 'how they should have played it' especially from someone who usually (not always, but usually) is a worse player than them. Something similar happend when fluffdog bubbled the WCOOP final table, wasn't too nice imo.

I agree that my initial statement came across as pretty brash and almost attacking and already said I would have reworded it.

I agree witht that. He didn't bust out though, I was just making the comment I thought it was committing chunk of your stack with 66 preflop to a push. From what multiple other people have stated, it seems like a standard play.I would definitely make the call with 77 though, only because Phil Hellmuth says it's one of his top 15 hands......and he is the best ever :club:

meh, a rail thread is fine to post hh discussion...i mean the whole point for me is to improve at poker and thats what it does...ya maybe if it was something big and meaningful for the person and the dude realizes it was a mistake and is tilted then shy away from something.....but if i make a mistake and dont realize it i would for sure want someone to help me out with it to fix my leakkkkkkk

There's a fine line between giving legitimate strategy advice on a hand (in any forum) and being empathetic towards someone's bad fortune in a douche-bag manner. Shark took a dump on that line.
