Going to Niagara Falls in about, well a car ride, and wanted to know what the casino action is like up there.I've checked out the websites and have seen Seneca Niagara having a Spring Break Tourney I'm going to be playing in, but none of them list any cash game limits. Any info? Also if there is a good restaurant that's not directly in Niagara, recommendations are quite welcome. I see that Welland and St Catharine are what look like pretty big towns nearby. The interwebs have proven pretty useless in finding places that aren't overpriced and touristy to eat at.Thanks!

St. Catharine's and Welland suck... if you want a "big town", might as well drive the hour to Toronto. But if you must eat in Niagara Falls, be prepared to eat at chains. The town itself sucks, there isn't much beyond the touristy areas. I suggest you just drive to Toronto to have a good meal/good time.Nightlife is decent in Niagara... Dragonfly is nice but full of tourists, but in a pinch better than anything else the town offers.1/2 NL at Casino Niagara is softer than anything I've ever seen. Fallsview offers bigger stakes but longer wait timesSeneca Niagara isn't in Canada so I won't address that in this post...

I will agree that Welland and St Kitts blows.. Are you coming on a weekend? If so be prepared to wait and get thier number and call ahead of time. The old Casino is 1/2NL, and is actually a grind it out nit fest.. The Fallsview 2/5 and 5/5 is action pact, everyone thinks thier playing in the WSOP city. If you play tight and solid its a great game. Hooters in the falls blows, there is always the Manderin in St Kitts, or something along the ling of Kelsey's there.

If you're in your 20's, St. Catharine's is alright as it's a University city (I went there). Lots of decent bars a walk away from each other downtown.

Lived in the Falls for over 25 yrsUSA side Seneca Poker room has great tourneys, Buffet is awesome. Canadian side Casino Fallsview. home of the NAPC WPT2/5, 5/5 and higher can have long waiting lists on weekends but you can call ahead 90 minutes and have your name added to the list agree if you play tight you can do well, buffet is okaythere new Ponte Vecchio fine dining Restaurant is excellent , but I suggust you need an reservation. this is priceylower level has Falls and firkin Pub good food and reasonable prices, Johnny rockets and Mommy Mia'sthere club Dragonfly is always hot and busyCasino Niagara sister casino of Fallsview much softer games 1/2, 2/5 cheaper food, less classeyNiagara Falls also has a Mandrain chinese buffet at Niagara Square area somewhere( shopping Mall of town regulars), best buffet about $23.00.Skylon Tower has a dinner package $35-40/pp 3/4 course meal in there rotating dining room which is good (next to the casino over looking the falls)Lundy's lane is fast food ally as well as cheaper food chain restaurants Clifton Hill also action area, entertainment area, and restaurants. prices are both up and down.Welland and St Catherines blah are okay perfer Niagara on the Lake much more nicer history and artristy old town feel. can be pricey but there are cheap places too. Love this area. It's also home of our fruit and wine area. 15-20 minute drivehere are some web siteshttp://www.fallsviewcasinoresort.com/http://www.niagarafallstourism.com/Toronto is a great city to visit as well.
