I read that first hand and was so lost. lol. Anyway - I'm not sure what you were trying to accomplish by checking the turn. I can see c/r here, or I would lead out a little more than half the pot. As played, I would have had a VERY difficult time calling that river. His line reads like he's on a draw and I can see him having AQ here a lot of the time.

When he smooth called the flop I couldn't put him on AQ. I thought MAYBE some BS straight draw so I checked the turn when a straight card hit. I just couldn't give him credit for it though and check/called. River comes... I trust my read that I can't give him credit for a straight (i.e. a Q) on the turn and check/call off when four to the straight hit the board.Just my thought process. I can obviously see how AQ is in the heart of his range... but in the heat of the moment I couldn't put him on that.
