For All You Non Multitablers

Recommended Posts

I don't get why you'd only one table if you're obviously capable of concentrating and playing well on multiple tables. If you need something to keep you busy if you;re only playing one table, then play a second table to keep you busy!! More monies

Catch up on magazines (I get a s#itload for work). And no, not those kind. :club: I find I play better, more clear-headed. Plus, even if I lose, I feel like I accomplished something.

If you're only playing one or two games use the downtime to review the hand history for every hand played at the table and try and understand exactly what your opponent's are doing. This is the advantage that you will have over the players who are playing in a lot of games. Don't just rely on the stats from your heads up display if you're using one.

video games while playing poker is really hard for me. I too have tried halo while playing and found myself timing out a lot in the poker game and getting killed easily in halo.

why would you only play 1 table. haven't done that since i started. multitabling is one of the biggest edges that online poker has over live play imo. gogogo...if i have some downtime im on watching tv or crusing FB etc.

Three decades of playing one table kinda stuck with me into the internet life, I guess. During a MTT, I might open one cash table just because. Honestly, I can barely play three tables of limit anything for longer than 20 minutes and I give up trying. I get dizzy.

"We can't bust heads like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to tell them stories that don't go anywhere. Like the time I took the fairy to Shelbyville. I needed a new heel for my shoe so I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on them. Give me five bees for a quarter you'd say. Now where were we, oh ya. The important thing was that I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn't have white onions because if the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones."-Abe Simpson
