SpatsJ 0
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.02 BB (6 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.comButton ($1.45)Hero (SB) ($2.42)BB ($3.94)UTG ($4.80)MP ($4.25)CO ($5.03)Preflop: Hero is SB with K, A1 fold, MP bets $0.38, 1 fold, Button calls $0.38, Hero raises to $1, 1 fold, MP raises to $4.25 (All-In), Button calls $1.07 (All-In), Hero ?okokok. i might be opening myself up to some ridicule for even asking this...i know shoving is standard here, but i feel like i should have shoved all in rather than raising to $1. not sure if i like calling 2 all-ins. just curious if anyone folds here? pokerinc 0
His initial raise is 19 bbs? Is that standard? Seems like he's a tard trying to flip a hand, which means call. But what notes do you have on him?
LJB723 0
Fwiw I've seen people make these 20BB raises and fold to a shove, I've seen them do it with AA, AQ, J8 and 33. I don't care if you have a read or not I group this particular play into one labelled "donk play" and snapshove and hope for a call.As played I prefer the shove, but once you've re-raised were never folding anyway right? RIGHT?Also, button doesn't matter in this case, you are essentially only against the original raiser.
tskillz187 0
Reraise bigger, don't fold.
IAGTTAYM 0
I probably ship preflop, though their might be some merit to making a normal 3x RR. As played call the 4-bet.
tskillz187 0
Spats, when you reraise here, you should be doing it, knowing that you can't 3bet and fold. You should also be doing it because you think you're aheadof both their ranges, which are likely to be getting in pf seeing as they opened for 19bbs. You shouldn't make a raise small to give yourself room to fold. If you were going to make a small raise (which I think is bad in this hand) it would be because you think the villain's are more likely to spazz out and shove all their hands (including the crap). SpatsJ 0
i only hesitated for a second before calling the all in (and ended up splitting it with the button who also had AK), but wondered later if i had made the right call. at the time, i didn't think that the raise to $1 was all that small. bets don't usually go this high at this level. i'm not used to the all in shove in cash games, i guess. LJB - why do you say the button doesn't matter in this case? that was the factor that had me pause. thanks for the replies guys
