Close. It's his fantasy hockey league, well, the AHL is, the FCHL is just one a bunch of other guys created for hockey forum posters a few years ago as a copycat league. I don't know Daniel very well, but I would bet he'd take the AHL Championship over a bracelet, heh.

Daniel beat Moneymaker. Moneymaker had A-K and Daniel had pocket 9's. Negreanu flopped a set and dodged Moneymaker's straight draw by making a full house 9's full of queens on the river to beat Moneymaker.

Daniel Negreanu Defeats Chris MoneymakerThe Daniel Negreanu vs. Chris Moneymaker match was a true coinflip. After Negreanu doubled into a tiny chip lead with top pair against Moneymaker's middle pair, both players found themselves all in once again.Negreanu showed pocket nines and Moneymaker turned over A-K offsuit. Moneymaker could hardly watch and left the stage entirely. While he was gone, Negreanu pretended an ace had hit and stomped all over the stage for a bit. The crowd laughed and Moneymaker returned just in time to see Negreanu call for a nine. The flop came Q :3h 9 :ts 4 :club: and Negreanu hit his set. The crowd cheered, but the turn was the J :4h , giving Moneymaker outs to the straight. "It's never easy," said Negreanu. The river was the Q :5c and Negreanu's full house eliminated Moneymaker from the tournament. Negreanu will now take on Dario Minieri in his 2nd round match up.wtg,gg Danielhttp://www.cardplayer.com/tournaments/live...mp;x=18&y=7

After a nice helicopter tour of the Las Vegas strip OMGFluffdog and I went to watch some of the NBC National HU Championship. We missed DN's match but saw him and talked to him right after a did an interview with Cardplayer. OMGFluffdog got a pic with him. One of the online qualifiers from FTP Leon Yanovski is an online buddy of mine so we sat in the front row during his match, next to his girlfriend. He is a very good heads up player and an online pro. He matched up with a Caesers qualifier who was a fish. Ishbia almost never raised preflop but usually called most raises. Leon never made any hands but when they made it to the final level 1k/2k he was only slightly behind in chips. Since Ishbia needed a huge hand to call an all in he could profitably shove any 2 from the button, but the first time he shoved with J7 he got called by AQ and lost the race. He was disappointed, but he played good. The last bracket of the night was by far the best match-ups so we had good time watching them.Gl tomorrow Daniel! :5c:ts:3h:4h:club:
