I have a different opinions I guess. I thought he was a solid team defender and patrols the lane pretty well. If he is out guarding 3 point shooters something is wrong to begin with.
I've watched pretty much every NBA game that he's played either live or on TV.When you're playing a team like Orlando he gets really exposed. He can't guard Howard down low and he can't guard Lewis or Turkoglu on the permiter. He isn't a horrible defender by any means but is at best average. Especially since his rebounding is flawed since he relys on his athleticism and his rebounding fundementals aren't very good.Bosh is a legit All Star caliber player but the flaws in his game and his leadership qualities have been exposed this season. He is far from a Superstar caliber player but will make a good complimentary player if he ends up playing with a true superstar.

There is no one in the league that can guard Howard, even Shaq was trying to flop against him last night. Bosh isn't built to defend Lewis and Turk, so basically you listed the perfect team for him to have problems with. Only I can't think of a defender in the league who can guard all 3 of those guys effectively so I'm not sure what you want from the guy.I agree he would be a better 2nd option than a first, but that makes him one of the best #2 options in the league.

We would be happy to have you. Certainly would be the most fun team to watch ever.
That's out of line.showtime.jpg
The flaws in Bosh's game are really showing. He's at times a laughably bad defender and he is a below average rebounder since he never ever boxes out but instead just relies on his athleticism.
He's like the RuPaul of big men.

I was using that as an example and your points are valid about Howard but if Bosh can't defend inside power players which he doesn't do well not just against Howard and he can't defend other 6'10" forwards on the perimeter it shows that at best he is average. The worst thing that happened to Bosh and the Raptors this season was when Bosh started out the season so hot on the offensive end. He made the claim that he wanted to be the MVP and that has made him a very selfish player who really has become a black hole on offense and is a major reason that the Raptors offense has stagnated so much this year. The two best Raptors are Bosh and Bargiani and they both have the same problem with moving the ball to others.Last night's game against Houston is a perfect example. In the first quarter he put up a ton of shots while the rest of the players didn't get a sniff and eventhough his numbers look good he had a poor game.

I'd rather have Wade with the ball on a last possession than Lebron.
Have you seen the officiating in the last 2 minutes of Cav games on TV this season?Care to retract that statement? :club: And for the record, everyone is coming to Portland, for the chance to have a locker next to the great Michael Greg Odenwakandi.

I was in class for the first half of the Cavs game (worst timing). But I will say that I got in the car with about 6 mins left in the 2nd and the Heat radio guy was about to have a freakin aneurysm about the ridiculous bad bailout calls Lebron was getting. I have never heard a radio guy (not named Heinsohn lol) get that upset over refs. He was making snide comments every time the Cavs got called for a foul. It was amusing.

Wade gets almost the same bs calls lebron does. Not quite but almost. I just think you can force Lebron to do what you want him to do on one possession, and can even get him to give up the ball and make another guy beat you which I can live with. I just don't think there's that much you can do to Wade other than get him to take a contested mid range jumper which is his shit. I don't think Miami has enough but I would love to see a Cleveland Miami 2nd rd series so I can root for Wade to take it to him.

Miami wont get by Atlanta if they keep the five seed or Orlando if they get the 6. They dont match up well with either team. Sadly. Miami could end up at 7 playing the Cavs in round one. That would be fun.Wade throws up 36 and 16 and 6. His assists are starting to pile up.....his teammates need to keep converting open shots and dunks.

Howard is a one of a kind talent in the league right now. So saying he can't effectively guard Howard isn't saying anything, who can? But he can play in the post against the vast majority of other big men in the league and more than hold his own.

I also think Bosh is wildly disenchanted with the Raptors situation. He looks disinterested and is perhaps seething that his franchise is taking two steps back while all the other top players in his draft (not named Darko) have had and are having much more team success than him.

42, 8 and 6 for Wade in a road win for the Heat.8 turnovers was bad......but 17 of 23 from the field is lights out.Wade became just the 3rd player in NBA history to average 40pts and 10assts over a four game span. sick.

Also was 3rd player in NBA history to have a 4 game stretch where he averaged 40 points and 10 assists per. He is averaging 35.8 points since the All-Star break, tops in the league.
"Asked before the game how he planned to defend Wade, Toronto coach Jay Triano gave an exasperated sigh, then said it would be "the same type of thing we do with Kobe and LeBron, he's in that category."Once it was done, Triano hadn't seen anything to made him feel differently."He's in that upper echelon," Triano said of Wade. "You talk Kobe and LeBron and he isn't far off with some of the shots and some of the plays that he makes. He makes his teammates better and he knows how to find guys."

I was at the game last night. The Raptors in general are a pretty bad defensive team but even when he was defended well Wade always made the right play whether it was hitting a shot that couldn't be defended or making a play to an open teammate. If Miami can get some shooters look out.

The fadeaway turnaround off glass to ice the game was just disgusting. You cant guard that. When Daequan Cook and Chalmers and Beasley are hitting from long range, the Heat look as good as the Cavs. They are just inconsistent. If Haslem could hit a wide open 15 footer, everyone would be in trouble.

C'mon, jumping on the scorer's table, victory lap, laying on the floor after all that.
well give me some precedent. oh yeah, there's not much precedent.......you just dont see too many steal/running swish 3 to win the game in double OT moments. that was an ESPY level play so it deserved an ESPY level celebration.the Heat also went 15-67 last year so any success must feel fantastic.

Fair enough, I just expect more from someone who's been there before. It was a great game though, I was even watching it instead of the Lakers Blazers game.

+20double OT.
lol at +20 in a double OT game. How bad does his backup suck? Also lol at only 7 players on the Bulls playing in a double OT game. What was the deal with that?

I saw that too, 4 players who DNP due to coaches decision. That's a lot of minutes for 7 guys when the other team is going 10 deep. Also, the Heat don't really have a backup 2 guard. Cook is the closest but he is more of a spot up shooting specialist and actually plays a lot of the same time Wade does.

Luther Head will probably be the de facto backup SG/PG once he learns the system. They just picked him up....probably a good move.the bulls have some injuries and obviously Vinny does not trust his scrubs. the bulls really need every win.Wade is just off the charts the last few weeks. Not only is he shooting way over 50% in all these 40 points games but he is finding ways to get to double digit assists AND he is filling up the defensive stat sheet. It was very fitting that the game winner came off a Wade steal.
