Shark527 0
I would probably bet the turn around $20-25 and fold to a reraise. Your "thin" value bet on the river is closer to a full pot bet. I would think a "thin" value bet here would be more of 1/3-1/2 pot bet size. This is the kind of hand I would check/call the river with. I think you would tend to catch a lot more bluffs that way and also lose less when you are beat. If you have the nuts and lead out on that river, you are rarely getting called by worse. simo_8ball 0
Bet the turn. For the love of God, bet the turn. You have the best hand, and even with something like AsKx he only has a 25% chance of hitting. That means you will win the amount of his turn call 75% of the time.Plus, if he has a spade draw he's folding a blank river anyway. All you manage to do by checking the turn is give him a free card.As for the river, you say you read him for a spade draw (which is most likely to be the As or Ks), but then when the spade hit you fired out a pot sized bet and didn't know what to do when he raised. Do you see the problem with your logic?

Usually with a value bet you expect to be called by a worse hand say 90% of the time and run into a better hand 10% of the time (the times they fold aren't really relevant). A thin value bet will only be called say 55% of the time by a better hand. You're still making profit from it, but just not very much.
mtdesmoines 3
I can't think of a reason I'm not betting that turn like ever. Then the rest of the hand plays itself.
