brvheart 1,757
A decent episode, although the title of the episode "Another coach moment" (Or something like that) doesn't bode well for my already longshot pick.I don't understand why Stephen and Taj didn't tell JT about the cross-tribe alliance. It seems like that secures a 5-way alliance. Instead, they left JT guessing about whether he should stick with them. Once they lost the immunity challenge, they needed to go to him and say "we're going to be down 6-4, this is our only chance". It appears they played coy about it, and may not even tell him next week about it, based on previews. There's a time to play mum, and a time to show your cards. Both Joe and JT need to be in on the plan now. Hopefully the two from the other tribe can bring one other person with them, possibly as part of an anti-coach movement.Wait wait wait. Are you seriously advocating a potential 7 person alliance? That would be retarded.
hblask 1
Wait wait wait. Are you seriously advocating a potential 7 person alliance? That would be retarded.Well, I guess I was counting Joe out, so it would be six, and only temporarily as insurance. But since you made me think about it, I guess Joe would probably be in, huh? But what if the two people from the other tribe have the same idea of saving a couple friends? Then this whole idea falls apart quickly.

Hopefully the two from the other tribe can bring one other person with them, possibly as part of an anti-coach movement.I don't think Stephen and Taj needed to reveal the cross-tribe alliance. If they do indeed merge next week, all they need to do is tell JT and Joe that they've convinced Sierra and Brendan to turn. Joe and JT will have no choice but to vote along with them, they'll be overjoyed to have the numbers again. It also leaves Taj and Stephen a lot of flexibility. Say they can get rid of Coach and Erinn, then maybe the older chick. They can pretty much choose whether they want to stick with Sierra/Brendan or turn back and stick with JT/Joe (probably not).As much as I like Tyson, he needs to align himself somehow or he's simply going to be seen as a physical threat and be gone in about 6th or 7th. king_tanner 84
For me, this was the best episode by far this season. It sucked that there was no tribal council, but I love to see people squirm. This is the point of the show where people are exposed as players or coattail riders.Stephen and JT... are in a real quandry. There are pros and cons for both alliances that they have lined up. If they go with Coach and Tyson they have a trustworthy alliance especially with Coach. The problem is if they make it to the end with Tyson, Tyson wins. There is a majority of Tyson's old tribe that will be in the jury, and will vote for him to win. Also, if Stephen and JT plan to bring Taj with them, it would probably be 3 against 3 with Stephen, JT, and Taj against Coach, Tyson, and Debbie which could be an issue.Or they can do the exile alliance with Brendan and Sierra. The pros to this alliance is if JT or Stephen made it to the end with Brendan or Sierra, they would have a good chance to win since it seems like not that many people like Brendan or Sierra. The problem with this alliance is that Brendan and Sierra are definitely not trustworthy, and they have an immunity idol.I'm not sure which alliance I'd go with. By watching the show I'd think I'd go with Coach and Tyson just because it seems safer, but sometimes you need to make huge risks to win the game. If I was actually out there I don't know what I would do. JT and Stephen have a huge decision.
bleacherbum3 9
This has nothing to do with strategy or the game, but for pure entertainment value, Tyson is stealing the show right now.I laughed my ass off at his comment about Sierra. Something like, "I don't even know why she's here other than to give really stupid people hope."
bleacherbum3 9
The show itself is getting quite intriguing. Kind of anticlimactic tonight with no tribal, but you could see a lot of wheels turning.

Pot Odds RAC 23
Are there enough Former Survivors who were forced to leave due to injury to populate a tribe? I think that would be a fun tribe to start a season.
babyangel 0
I was talking about a cool idea for survivor the other day with my cousin, what do you guys think of this?8 married couples go out to a tropical venue. Instead of having four couples per team you split them up. 4 men and 4 women on each team with their spouses on the other team. What do we think?

hblask 1
Beware the Dragon Slayer!Actually, if he can hold his tongue and hold this alliance together, he could be top two. It appears when he meditates, the tribe likes him, so if he keeps doing that he could at least make final three. Everyone has incentive to take him along because they know he won't get a lot of votes, if any. So I'm in decent shape to at least get in the money in the Uncool pool. God I'm a nerd Haha, I remember that show too, but it wasn't really like Survivor. That show was pure torture. It was basically taking a guy, splitting him up from his woman to live on an island where 8 hot chicks hit on him constantly, trying to destroy his relationship. And at the same time, he knew 8 guys were hitting on his woman 24/7 on the other island.Classic FOX TV.

Governator 54
Why is Tyson being such a Douche?cause that's who he is..Excellent episode tonight. Tribes merge and the power struggles begin. While it sounds very nice of brandon to want to take JT to the finals, it was just too late. When you got the small tribe joining the large tribe you have to build your numbers & your alliance ASAP. Brandon's problem is that it was too little too late. Trying to form an alliance in just a day or two pretty much never works in this game.If he talked to Taj, Stephen and JT when they first came to camp things would've been a lot different for him, but he let coach and Tyson bond with him from the get go. In the end, JT & Stephen made the right choice of voting brandon. They need guaranteed numbers.
Figger 0
Ok. So tonight was not such a great night for my last final hope...Sierra. Previews show her whining and crying why douche Tyson calls her stupid. Well, I hope she's actually a closet Mensa member and next week goes a little like this. If it doesn't, then I'm out and done posting. But here goes.Sierra confronts Taj and Stephen and expresses her disappointment in breaking the alliance. She convinces Taj, Erinn, Debra and Stephen that if Coach is successful that they're not far behind her and if they'd like to make it an all female finale (yea, I'm counting Stephen as a female), then they need to take out the strong ones now while they evenly split, men and women. Coach, douche, etc.Well, that would be my plan if I were Sierra. Let's hope I can go back in time and channel this to her. If not... GG all.
king_tanner 84
While it sounds very nice of brandon to want to take JT to the finals, it was just too late. This made me crazy. You go on a whitewater rafting trip with a guy, and you all of a sudden decide that JT's soul is pure, he should win the million. Such horseshit, I only want to see contestants that will do anything possible to win the million, not a pussy. It reminds me of the season the fireman won and the dolphin trainer guy threw the final challenge in order to win back the fireman's friendship. I think JT and Stephen are still in a good spot with the alliance they chose. Right now it would be JT, Stephen, Taj, and probably Erin against Tyson, Coach, and Debbie.... with Sierra being gone if nothing changes. I think JT and Stephen would have done better with Brandon and Sierra though. It was impossible to know this because Brandon is such a weirdo, but there were definitely pros and cons for going either way.Whether Coach is full of shit or not, I thought his stories were pretty cool. At least provides for entertainment around camp.Tyson is playing the ahole card a little too much. His comment towards Sierra in the previews for next week seemed kind of uncalled for especially since it looks like Sierra has been pretty nice to him at camp. I know he is just trying to have fun or whatever, but losing jury votes at this point is stupid. There is plenty of game left, and there is still time to piss other people off. brvheart 1,757
I guarantee that as tonight's episode was playing, J.T. was saying to his family, "How could I be so stupid?"Coach and Tyson are obviously snakes.... whether or not they got to him first aside. I agree with Gov that Brandon misplayed his hand... especially since it was setup perfectly from exile.
hblask 1
The Dragon Slayer continues his run of dominance.....Well, at least that's how I'm spinning my useless pick. My best hope is that Tyson is running the show more than the producers are letting on, because Tyson would definitely make sure Coach is with him in the finals, so I can still play for second place with him. Debbie, my other pick, is still invisible, which could be either good news or bad news. There are people who rode coattails into the finals. It looks like JT, Stephen, and maybe Taj are running this game. Taj is doing it quietly and by letting other people think they are in charge, which is always a good strategy. Stephen seems to know he has a lot of power, but is very nervous about it. JT has to watch out about getting too cocky, but if he plays it right he has the whole tribe dying to take him to the finale.I was sad to see Brandon go, he seems like a good dude, he just didn't quite play the game right. He had a tough fight, and I think gov is right, he started fighting too late. There are still so many scenarios that could play out now, since it seems to be JT/Taj/Stephen vs Coach/Tyson/Debbie, with two wild cards, Sierra and Errin. I don't know if JT is committed to the Coach thing, but he really needs to get one of those two loners solidly in his camp.I wish there was some way to find out how much of Coach's BS is real. It would be fun to see him publicly exposed as a delusional freak.
