Don't worry, I will be there this year. There was one time when I drove all the way from my apartment to my place of business without stopping for a pit stop or rest break. It was the longest 5 minutes of my life.I would caution you all: I have also been polishing up my one-liners, so you will have to be dodging punchlines left and right while sizing up your tee shot for the longest drive.
You and I will need to cut it short or we'll miss our tee time. And yes, by cut it short, I was talking about checky
You can probably concede the long ball contest to bg anyway. The guy hits it a damn mile anyway(yeah I'm jealous).
Yea...it's all really in the pronating of the wrist
Using a 50 inch Driver, a Pinnacle and a bounce off the cart path. :club:
Don't make me pull a Happy Gilmore on you
and his size behind the hit :4h B) :5c:qh:3h
It's actually in the wrist's pronating ability
Pretty sure Rob and Bill are around the same build. I might be off by an inch or a few pounds but good call!
Whoa..Bill gained weight?
He is taller. Im thinner. He is cute but I am cuter. We both have goatee's but I groom mine. We are both Republicans but he is a rabid Republican. I use a Titleist Pro V1X he uses Pinnacles or Top Flite XL's. :ts
Son of a Rub it in why don't you?
wow you get props for that. i'm guessing that you had a problem or you wouldn't know how long its been like that. after that long you probably don't think much of it but i see that and it looks like one hell of an accomplishment to me.
16 months in rehab...but yea, it's been so long I don't think about dropping acid except when I post here

I'm doing pushups every day getting ready for the long drive competition.
You would do better learning to use any club besides your hand wedge

I talked to a friend about this and he said it's not true. Jamie hates sand. :club:

Count me out work won't let me have sundays off. So consider my spot now open.
bummer! let me know if things change dude.as far as the poker tournament, I am really at a loss as how to approach that one. I did not set it up last year and am not sure how it was handeld. Help?I did talk to the HArd Rock folks and they said they would do everything for approx. $6 per table, per hour? That sounds wrong to me, but that is what he told me. They are very cool and do this stuff all the time apparently. As far as setting up a structure, it'll most likely be quick, like 15 or 20 minute rounds. I have no clue, but I know folks don;t want to be there all night.I was out so fast last year I can;t even remember how it was set up, but it seemed to only last about 3 hours.any help, comments, suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

I think we only paid $15 in rake for the tournament to be run. I would check on that with Potsie since I know he was the mastermind. We had an amazing schedule and I"m pretty sure I busted out 8th or 9th at around the 3 hour mark so that tournament ran longggg. If the Hard Rock is going to charge too much I'm sure another casino would have no issue setting this up. I'd be glad to check into this further if you think that'd be a good idea.

Yeah, charging per hour is stupid. I think before it was built into the entry fee, I forget how much exactly. But yeah, we had a good structure, not 20 minute levels for sure, they were probably at least 30. Pick a new place imo.

lol. I knew you were there but I had zero extra time to visit with folks this trip. I was in for a wedding and ended up having to play tour guide/landlord to about 30 family members. It was good times in spite of the inability to get in a serious poker session.I'm sure you have an agenda, but maybe plan on a dinner either Friday the 17th or 18th for sure. I have Fridays off too so maybe you'd be up for a round somewhere? not sure how busy you are or what not, just throwing it out there. I'll let Mark know too in case he doesn't read this. Rob, road trip?

hmmmm. I have very little time these days and I am bombed with work and family issues.Jon, if it is not too much trouble, any chance you could check around/dig etc? The poker tourney piggy backing the golf was simply a bonus anyway. Just seemed like fun last time and thought I would add it if it was not too much trouble, but if it is a pain in the ass then screw it.Thanks in advance bro.

there is a very slight chance that i could work out a 2-3 day trip at the last minute, but it's really not likely at all. it's just that i'm starting that job and won't have enough of a tenure to be able to request specific days off without pissing off upper management, etc.i do wish i could pull it off, though. the democrats need to pick up a filibuster-proof majority to save the world in 2010, and BG's vote needs to help the cause.
