who would you love to see heads up at the main event

Ivey vs. Gus would be my personal choice. - Also though 2 people who know each other and play with each other all the time would be a lot of fun to watch . . . Greenstein vs. Doyle or Demetrieu vs. Luske as an example. - In my final 5, I want Ivey, Hanson, Luske, Flack and Arieh

Phil vs Paul
Hmmmm. I always thought that there were "four Phil's", Helmuth, Ivey, Gordon and Laak. But Paul "Phil"lips is a Phil in disguise, for a 'trick question" fifth Phil. Although perhaps he is really Phil Laak in disguise...has anyone ever seen them in the same room together?

Obviously if one of these guys made it to the final table, let alone the final two...the ratings would be huge:Phil HellmuthDoyle BrunsonJohnny ChanThere are great players out there, DN, Ivey, Lederer, but it wouldn't excite anyone like the above three. If Brunson won another Main Event, it would be the biggest event in poker history.

No-name VS No-name.Lets be honest
The question wasn't WHO will it be, but who would you like to see.But many of the matchups listed are great. A person who I'd like to see in the final 2 is Chip Reese. This guy has had less luck on TV then anyone else I can think of. Of course any of the old schoolish players vs. a up and comer/young gun would be great for for the event. So take anyone of the players from ist "A "and make them vs anyone from list "B." I know this leaves some players out but it would still be neat. (I just said "neat" oops)List A: Chan, Doyle. Reese, Baldwin, Billy Baxter, Hellmuth (although some may not consider him old skool), Amarillo Slim, Forrest and Action Dan. List B: Murphdog, Griffin, Williams, Fischman, Thunder Kellar, Mizrachi, Stoltzman, and probably many others I can't think of right now. I would just hope ESPN does their final table coverage, in all events ideally, like they did in 2003. Where they had 2 hours of the final table OR have it be the final 6 players. You can only watch so many all in preflop hands and race situations before you get tired of it. I think that this has lead some players to believe that is how many tournies are played. Waiting or the time when you can get your QQ vs. someones AK.

Phil Laak is a ****ing joke, and Gordon is a TV host. There are only two Phils who are worldclass players.
