i am a super low limit player. so just try to get bank roll over $100. mostly playing $1.20 sit & go. this will be a huge task seeing as i'm the worst player of all time.

JanuaryI have been without internet for the first two weeks of January, so these are my results for the second half of the month. As for live games: the casino in Lisbon, where I recently moved, does not have any poker games, so I have not played live at all. Goal: find a homegame here!Cash GamesGraph for January:0901_cash.jpgI have always been a tournament player, but decided to start playing cash games in January. I started at 25NL, and want to stay there (even though I'm rolled for bigger games) until I'm sure I can beat it. As you see from the graph, that is not quite the case yet, but I'm happy with the positive result for the month.2550 hands, +$34.75, 2.73 ptbb/100Tourneys - STTGraph for January:0901_stt.jpgI have now fully moved up to the $16 turbo level. I fee I should be able to beat this game consistently, but due to a combination of playing bad and running bad, this month was roughly break even.103 tournaments, -$28.00, ROI -1.70%Tourneys - MTTGraph for January:0901_mtt.jpg(Two $11 HORSE tourneys missing from the graph - did not cash in either.)January was an expensive month MTT-wise. Played bad, ran even worse. Or perhaps the other way around. Still, some highlights too: came 1st and 3rd in a run of about 10 45-man tourneys, and played my first three $33 tourneys in which I cashed twice, coming 26th and 29th out of 800-player fields. However, my roll is not quite big enough to sustain such bad streaks, so I'll cut down on the MTTs a bit in February to focus on building my roll.61 tournaments, -$358.02, ROI -42.55%Other StuffRakeback: +$30.00Last longer bets: +$30.00Shots at EPT/WSOP tickets: -$333.50Online bankroll January 1st: $2153.83Online bankroll February 1st: $1529.06February

  • 5000 hands at 25NL
  • 150 $16 turbo STTs
  • At most $400 in MTT buyins
  • Make silverstar
  • Spend 10 hours on strategy (forums, pokertVT, doing calculations, reading books, analyze stats)
  • Find a home game in Lisbon

This kind of attitude will never get you to where you want to be. If you have a negative attitude your results will suffer, or you may second guess yourself and it will cost you money. Don't think because you play the micro's that this means you suck because that could not be further from the truth. You play micro's because your bankroll is only big enough for those and the only way to get out of the micro's is to grind them. Know that somedays you may lose money overall but just because you lost doesn't mean you didn't play the best. Continue playing and brushing up on your strategy, as well as keeping your confidence up and you will get out of the micros. FWIW alot of people playing at higher levels are far worse players than those playing at the micro-limits. Positive thinking and confidence are just as important as skill in poker, having the right mindset can help your game a ton. Avoid tilt, play smart, study and you will see improvements. Patience is a virtue.

goals for feb. seemspreety easy but super difficult for me. When on tilt either move down in limits are quit a loser. I have a really badhabit of moving up stakes to try to win money back only to lose half my tiny roll.

why do you only have 10 posts? Aside from the bolded part, which is just lol, your advice is great. If you guys want to really succeed at poker, you have to be an optimist and have confidence in yourself.

Well, I only have 10 posts because I have only been a member a short time although I have lurked for much longer. As for the bolded part, I guess it didn't come out like I meant for it to sound. What I meant was you see the same kind of donkish stuff at all levels of play, naturally the higher stakes players are better on the whole, but some high stakes players still make fundamental mistakes like microdonks. Hope everyone's February is going according to plans.

What's up y'all. Was working on a transfer with HoosierAlum and realized I hadn't posted here in forever.Anyway, it's kinda lame to only come in when I have reason to brag, but after trying to go on my own a little short-rolled in January and losing all my money, I found a new staker in February and within a week finished 2nd in the Sunday Million for 143K. So yeah, I'm looking pretty good right now with enough of a roll of my own to play 10/20 PLO considering how rarely the games are good that high. I post on 2+2 about 100x more than I post on FCP now, but this is where I first got serious about poker so good luck to all of you!
