penne 0 Posted January 29, 2009 Share Posted January 29, 2009 so i had a couple of days off work and decided to drive up to fallsview to shoot some 2-5nl. i call in and get on the list, when i get there around 2pm i jump right in and buy in for the max $300. a couple of interesting hands came up:hand #1: 3 folds to me and i look down to see 99. i raise to 20 (stack is still 300) and guy to left calls, everyone else folds. villian is a younger guy and from what ive seen is very prone to tilt and a little bit of a cannon. flop comes KQ6 rainbow and i check hating this flop. villian checks behind. turn is a 2 and show total weekness and check again, he checks too. river comes a king and i check. he fires 60 and i tank. if he has a K or Q he would've bet the turn when i checked again, so i ask hin are my 9's good? he looks at me suprised and says "you have 9"s?", then stared at the pot nervously and didnt budge. i called and he says "nice call" and mucks. he goes on tilt, reloads, and donks off his money in 15mins. hand #2: 2 limpers and i limp from the button with 3s4s. bb makes it 35 and both mp limpers call, i call. flop comes k63 with two clubs. it gets checked round. turn comes 3h. bb bets 50, both mp players fold, and hope the bb wasnt slowplaying a set of kings on the flop and pop him to 150, putting him all-in. he tanks then calls and my trip 3's win a nice pot. he comments on how crappy i am for playing that hand.i end the day with a profil 370 in about 8hrs of play after mostly winning on pf raising and continuation bets. i get a room for the night and am back by 11am to shoot some more. day 2 was way more interesting.i get to the table and already see some interesting characters. the lady to my left about 65 yrs old claims she used to live in vegas and her best friend who was showgirl used to bang tom jones back in the day. when i see her husband wearing a baby blue leisure suit i believe her. the guy 3 seats to my right has gang tatoos on his neck and one of teardrop under his left eye. if you dont know what the teardrop signifies....trust me you dont want to know.hand #1: ive had aces 2 in the first hour winning a grand total of $11, but i already have 600 in front of me by being hit by the deck. i pick up AA utg and raise to 20. vegas lady calls, all esle fold. flop is k62 two clubs, and i fire 45, she insta-calls. turn is jh and i fire 100, she insta-pops all-in for 245 total. i tank and say "do u really have kj?". she shrugs. i ask "if i fold u show?" she says yes. i say i think i read you good here and open fold my aces...3 people at the table faint, and she shows kj. teardrop guys says " that was a champion fold bro" i smile and nod.the table gets crappy and i whittle back down to 300. a guy from the other table comes over and complains to a friend how loosey goosey the other table is and hates it..."ill swith with you" is say, and he's down. so i take my 300 and switch.hand #2: about 20 hands in, and im liking the table but doing nothing but folding. theres a beginer who calls every small bet with air but folds to big bets and is in every pot, and a couple of cannons. uth limps, mp limps, beginner on button limps and im in bb with AcQc, so i raise to 50. utg calls, mp folds , and beginner calls. flop comes K 10 6 one club. i hope utg sees my tight image and folds and hope the beginner has air and folds to my total donk play of betting all-in for 250...im such a tard. beginner on button acts out of turn and intsta calls. utg shakes his head and claims he's mucking a king. i get no help and beginner turns over k6 for a flopped 2 pair. i rebuy for another 300, the beginner now has 700...and im cursing myself switching tables and being a donk. utg asks to see my hand, i show but tell him thats bad ettiquete. he plays for a living and is a dick.i end up doubling through the beginner with ak and get to 600.hand #3: utg i raise to 20 with ak young kid in bb calls. flop comes k72 two diamonds. he checks and i fire 45, he calls. turn is brick and he fires 100. i tank and ask how much u have left, he whispers something...i ask again and his voice cracks as he says 245... i shove and he tanks and folds.hand #4: folds around to asain guy who used to be a cannon a few months ago when he was learning the game. i got to know him better over these two days and he's a nice guy who's game has improved, but still has some donk tendencies. 2 mp limpers, asian dude raises to 35, and im on button with kk. i re-pop to 95, folds back to him. he thinks for second and re-pops 300 more. i have 1200 at this point and he has like 700 at the start of the hand. i tank and say "ive never layed this down preflop in my life before". he's silent. 'if i fold u show?" i ask. he says "you know i will". i tank more and cant believe im considering folding here. i open fold after like a 2 minutes....6 people at the table have a heart attack and ask if im nuts.....my asian buddy flips over aces! i say thats the first and last time ill probably do that. in all honesty if its anyone else at the table i probably shovel and double them up. hand #5: 1 limper, i limp in co with jh9h, bb checks. flop comes qh js 10h, kind of a good flop for me! bb and mp check i bet 20, both call. turn comes 6h. bb checks and mp shovels for 300 i reshovel for 1200, bb folds. mp shows me kh 7s. river is a brick and i win another nice one. the guy next to me says "how do you get these guys to give you their money?"...i just laugh. i end up getting my stack up to 1800 after 13 hours of play. total tally for the trip was approx. +1500 after expenses, ie. food, hotel, etc. gotta love the 2-5 at fallsview. the 5-5 is even better, i just dont have the roll for it. its not uncommon to see 20k on a 5-5 table late at night and every pot is over a grand.
