gilbertology 0
Washington DC has been abuzz for the past few weeks with inauguration prep and celebrations. And yes, I looked it up and that is how you spell inauguration. Everyone is poppin champagne for Obama cuz change is coming!I'm giving out 10 4.40 stakes to people with >100 posts. All you need to do is post something(a sentence or too will suffice), about what this day means to you, or what you are looking forward to in the next 8 years, or anything in general about the awesomeness of this time in history and Obama in general. No stakes will be given to Obama haters, although there's nothing wrong with not being a fan. However, I think we can all agree that today is one of the most uplifting and important days in American history.GL and weeeeeeeeee! :icon_biggrin:Edit: Horsies: MadkennedyCrookedLinkpaganellorivergirlbeaverstyleThePhoenix88JustLikeNegssgfultonjbizzle333trueace13Edit: everyone keep winnings

This day means ALOT to many people in the area, especially African Americans and other minorities. No stake wanted.....just wanted to say...I <3 Josh!I <3 you too!

All I wanted to convey was that this day does mean a whole lot to a number of people in the US, and even around the world. It represents that anyone can dream to accomplish anything with hard work and determination. Electing an African American president breaks down a lot of barriers that we may not have thought were there, but many minorities still believed were. Just watching the local news here and the interviews with random people on the street and the pure joy they elude through words/tears has made my heart warm.
