I'm sure that other regulars in those games probably wish I'd STFU sometimes. You may not like my lurker status but imagine the possibilities if this board had yet another regular contributor, capable of correctly spelling most words and having the ability to assemble complete sentences with independent thought. They are poker game lovers, they play poker, read our threads so what if they don't post. I do not post in the challenge threads or in the strategy sections any more because I get flamed. I really wanted feedback but I am tired of the flaming when I do post hands for feedback or advice. Any ways Why can't people just be friendly, and Stop with the control power plays. Maybe it's a good idea if Bob pins a thread for there game announcements. We need to stop arguing and fighting over petty crap. FCP Bob 1,312 Posted January 12, 2009 Share Posted January 12, 2009 There is no harm in the occasional invitation to private tournaments from people who are also part of FCP and take part in FCP related things but who also are part of other online communities.If you think that something is spam use the report to a moderator feature and if we think it's spam we'll deal it.If you don't care about a thread then stay out of it.We will never pin a thread for these sort of tournament announcements but there would be nothing wrong with the people who are creating the tournaments from using the same thread over and over again to make their announcements rather than creating new ones. The only part that was brought up is that the constant posting of holdemfreaks.com can be considered spam. Nobody is fighting or flaming. It is called constructive criticism. The constant posting of holdemfreaks.com can be annoying when we are FCP. Inviting us to tournaments is not annoying, bounties aren't annoying, saying holdemfreaks.com in every post IS annoying. THAT WAS THE ONLY POINT. Imagine someone here going to your forum and posting a FCP link in every post they make. Or if someone goes to neverwin and posts constant FCP links. Or if Showstopper comes to your forum and posts constant links to the Kiefer Sutherland forum. That is great. I also remember a time when they used to have these tourneys and give away books but then you had to post that you won it from holdemfreaks.com or something like that. I took 3rd in one of these a long time ago. So it definitely was planted early.That being said, the whole idea about putting the name all over is to get more traffic to a sit from this site. There's a few bucks now to keep you off the streets. Thankfully, I was able (with the help of my girl Booty) to keep up with the exits of all 10 bounties.
