Ok, I'm a bit confused. The only business venture that I remember discussing was when "Gank" wanted to start a poker training site and he and I were going to do it together.

I don't think he did for his first site. I think later he did something with Micon.I think Brett still has his site. He spent a lot of time and money setting it up. I'm not sure how it worked out in the end.

I think if I had one critisism of the OP, it's that I'm not exactly sure what he wants this place to be. It seems he occasionaly takes things personally, thinks about things deeper than 99% of the posters and generally wants what is best for the site. The problem with that is, sometimes you just have to ignore others that don't have the same goal. Or, the other option is to start banning people a lot more liberally. Maybe that wouldn't be such a bad thing, maybe it would. I've been here for years and tbh, I'm still not sure what this site is. Is it more intended for poker entertainment, poker knowledge, or just plain Internet comraderie? I suppose it depends on who you are.

I just checked the site out. The voice over is kind of funny.I don't know Micon at all.Brett is a good guy. He can be flaky at times. Aside from that, he has good intentions.

I don't know if this has been said before. While I don't specifically have a problem with any of this, it is not really how most forum communities work, and some cases it is called trolling.I think this is why Steve comes off more like a sales man, when you don't post in other peoples threads, you don't feel like part of the community.

That makes sense. I don't belong to any other forums., so I have no frame of reference. But I will definitely keep that in mind in the future.

I used to make a parking pass for where I worked at for 2 years. The parking pass changed every year, it was like $100/month to park in the lot. Thankfully I never ever paid for parking, I just needed to find out the new color they changed the pass to every month.

Steve, welcome back.I think one of the issues with an ongoing forum is that people forget the order of history. I think another issue is that some relationships on the forum are more private. I remember reading JCs thread about the coaching he got and then it was disclosed that it was you. So for you Steve the perspective is one thing but for others it could be something completely different. I also remember people were asking about coaching after reading JCs thread. The thing is everyone doesn't read every thread nor is it really possible for most people to keep up with history. I personally can not follow long threads go on for years. I get lost in all of it. I wish I had that skill but I do not. The one thing I always liked about you Steve is that even though we are at opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to play, you have always made me feel as if I could improve and that I have the ability to do so.I do wish we could see more of your personality. Emoticons are a wonderful thing.

Like any relationship, this place is what you make it. I have some people I have greatly come to admire, others I detest and still more I am meh about. Steve inspries me to know that there is help out there if I need it. It is up to ME to decide what I do with the info on here. It is up to YOU to decide what info you get from any posts. Personally, I think a lot of the mouthy posters on here are just trying to stir shit, without fear of retribution. I guess it comes from all the swirlies daily while they go to HS. I try not to take anything I read here personally, because chances are very slim I will ever run into these people IRL. In some cases that is good, in others very bad. Steve, I have always tried to garner info from your strat posts, and as you know, am more than willing to help you in any way I can. I am not as close to you as your students, but still consider you one of my e-friends.Your presence is always welcomed by me.

A lot of people swore by Old Spice deodorant, so I went out and got it. It's a liquid roll on type deal. Seems to work really well. However, I will go out and buy Gillette. I don't think I've tried that one before.Thanks for the heads up.
