OK, so I'm starting with $10 and playing ring game NL hold'em online at PokerStars. A few rules:1. I won't move up in limits unless I have 500 big blinds for that limit. I'm starting at $0.01-$0.02 w

Two questions:1) What does daily returns in BB's stand for exactly?2) What does NP stand for?
That is how many bigblinds you are winning or losing per session. When you lost $10.00 at .05/.10 you lost 100 BB.Not sure what NP is. Good luck today, Cheap Thieves playing for a spot in the conference finals up 3-1 for those of you interested in hockey, check out the General Hockey forum.

Is NP 'net profit'? It matches up (within a penny) with your Money Won stat.

GL DN, I'm doing the same thing, sitting pretty at $22 atm. My BRM is a lot more conservative than yours, I might need to loosen it up if I want to make the big bucks and hope I run like a god.

GG Daniel.Have you seen this guy on PS?Boku's ChallengeHis challenge was 100$ to 10000$ in less than 15 days, playing only SnG...and he did it. Amazing!
I was thinking on his ruleshttp://10kpropbet.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.htmlIm not native english speaker, .. so, I guess, beside his $10K there is a side bet with someone. Am I right? What do you guys think about the rules of Boku's ChallengeI`m runing the same challenge that Daniel, but I know I am a good sucker at poker.. its been almos 250K hands and Im still with around $10 LOL

Looks like youre not moving down bud. This is what killed me. The longer you avoid moving down, the faster your bankroll gets crushed. Good job almost hitting NL200 though.

Two questions:1) What does daily returns in BB's stand for exactly?2) What does NP stand for?
1)Yes, good guessing! "returns is BB" stands for what you win per session divided by the big blind of the corresponding limit you are playing in (initially it was 0.02$ now it's 0.10$ and hopefully it's going to be more soon). 2)"NP" yes it's net profit basically your current bankroll minus 10$ that you started with. I admit that there is a difference in one cent (took it for myself as a remuneration:). Gonna give it back like AIG guys their bonuses. ;)Cheers,N.

boagz,Unfortunately, it's not pokerstars. Same thing happens to me although I play limit holdem, but I can't seem to multi table past 5-10 limit because a) I'm n ot good enough and B) there aren't many full ring games past 5-10 even if I were good enough. We fall victim to the Peter Principle which says that you rise to your level of incompetence. Either just beat on the games you can beat on, and do some constructive investments with the proceeds or, studying your ass off to improve. Remember that you must think to do things differently cuz the old ways weren't working.

DN,Just wondering if you are paying RAKE during this "challenge"?
Even if he does happen to have a deal where he gets rakeback for being a pokerstars pro, I am sure he's not calculating that into his numbers.

It's off topic but just a quick question : i don't really understand the point of "rake" and "Monthly Gross Rake" in the Poker Trackers's statistics...?

It's just showing you how much rake you are paying while you play, which is why so many people refuse to play without rakeback. It adds up.

I'm quite confident that a pro of DNs caliber pays no rake at stars (like the red letter tilt pros). Not paying rake is a HUGE edge (even just playing break even poker). Paying no rake in a cash game challenge like this is absurd. The reasons this "challenge" was issued was to generate traffic for DNs sites, and poker stars. This should be quite obvious. This challenge is flawed and so will be the results.

Is this challenge still going on? We have no informations but i guess Daniel is busy playing the SCOOP and probably have a lot of things to do in real live. Any info?

Ummm are you implying that the tables he sits at don't have rake taken out? Even if he did have an arrangement where he gets contributed rake back (and even that would be if we just take some n00bs word for it ((you)) - that would have no effect on his results in this challenge. He is documenting "bought in for X, cashed out for Y". The pots he is winning at the table are minus rake like everybody else. The results = not flawed.

Ya, he needs to add dates into this thing. When was his last update? Did he give up already?
