UncleHoot 0
Stars had those 10,000 man SnG's running for awhile during their World Record Week. I played 7, and cashed in 5, but nothing huge, unfortunately. Anyway, I found that I REALLY liked the structure. They would start you with 2,000 chips and blinds would go up gradually every 10 minutes (5 for a turbo). So, even the turbo's were less "turbo-esque". Anyway, these new 90 man SnG's have that same blind structure.IIRC, the blinds go 20/30/40/50/60/80/100/120/150/200/250/300/400 (maybe 50 gets skipped, not sure). No big jumps, though, plus you start with more chips.Congrats to Stars!
Jupiter 0
Don't know why it took them so long to have 90s.
Dago 0
Cool, something new to try out ...next year ;)I cashed in the two 10k SnG's I tried so maybe this structure ain't bad for me either.
UncleHoot 0
Just reading this thread on 2+2 (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/61/mtt-community/90-man-sngs-stars-375928/)I'm surprised at the number of people that don't like the tournament structure. I'd like to tell them that they're all WRONG, but I guess to each their own. Personally, I LOVE the slow steady structure, which makes even turbo's run with less possibility of variance. I've always hated the tourneys that jump from 200 to 400 blinds. That's like suddenly having your stack cut in half. 5,000 chips was a lot 1 minute ago, now it's nothing.I realize that each player can have their own opinions, but after reading a lot of Daniel's blogs, I can't believe that most truly good players would think this new structure is a bad thing. I certainly hope they keep the new structure for the 90's, otherwise, there's no reason to play 'em. I finished 2nd in a 90-man turbo last night. It took about 2 hrs, and I was still able to play a lot of solid poker. Sounds good to me.EDIT: And now I'm reading that they've already messed up the structure by giving you fewer starting chips (1500 now). Sigh. If these end up as simply 180's and 45's with fewer players, then I have absolutely no reason to play them. They were good because they were different, resulting in less variance. For those of us that don't play 300 games per day, it was really a nice change, especially from the $2 180-man turbo's that are drove me insane.
grocery_mony 8
I see they have a $33 deep 90 man with 3k starting and 12 minute levels.
jmbreslin 0
Bout time they added some variety to their SnGs. Looks like the regular speed 90's take about 3 hrs, while the turbos take about 2 hrs.Hoot, even with the 1500 starting chips they still have a much slower structure than the 45's because of all the added blind levels. Antes are introduced a few levels earlier, but it takes twice as long to get to 50/100 under the newer structure than it does under the old one. I always thought the jump from 25/50 to 50/100 was a bit quick.

grocery_mony 8
Dammit. Why do these idiots call off 40 bb to a UTG raise then a shove with KQo?

XXEddie 0
Dammit. Why do these idiots call off 40 bb to a UTG raise then a shove with KQo?you're suppose to fold KQo in that spot?Dude, you have two face cards, two flush draws and a broadway draw
UncleHoot 0
It appears this is only true for the turbos. The regular ones still give you 2k chips.I see that now. Works for me! turbo's with a better structure, and regulars with a much better structure. Plus, there's a $8 deep stack! w00t! I'll have to see how long these take to complete; 5-6 hrs?I am wondering if they have given too many possibilities, though, and they won't fill up quick enough.
