Poker.... finish year with a profitLife.... Lose weight, so I can fit into most of my clothes that don't fit anymore. It seems like marathon/triathalon seems like a common theme. Why? I did a triathalon a few years ago when I was an athlete in college and it sucked donkey balls. I wanted to die afterwards. I tried it because I thought I would be good at it, but the training was crazy. Also unless you are a serious runner why would you want to run a marathon? That sounds like the most horrible thing in the world. Are you doing it to say that you did it, or are you actually looking forward to running a marathon? That question is for anyone that has those crazy thoughts.

Poker / LifeI don't care how much I win, but I want a $100K bankroll by the end of 2009. I started this year with $10K, currently have $18K, but won $78K. So I withdrew $70K (!) and spent it on random shit. Oh yeah I have a full-time job so it's not like I was withdrawing to pay bills and stuff. I am just a degen and gamble waaaaaaay too much on just about everything. Also drink too much and prolly spend too much on friends when I am out who have more money than me anyway. It's like even though they earn 200K, I just shipped $10K in an MTT, so tonight's on me weeeeeeeeeeAlso figure out what I want to do for the next 40 years (in general terms). I am a lawyer atm and don't enjoy it so I need to figure that out. Possibly travel / go back to school.Gl to you all with your goals!

Poker -1. For a start, to finally have my first 4 figure score, had a bunch of medium sized 3 fig scores and got super close to 4, but couldnt make the hump.2. Play more mtts3. Increase my stud8 game and move up in limits.4. Be at least silver star every month.5. Play in 1 SCOOP, WCOOP, and WSOP event. I turn 21 June 23rd, so my options are definitely limited as far as WSOP goes.Life -1. Work out more - Im currently 5' 11" and weigh 130 lbs. My metabolism is just ridiculous.2. Read more books.3. Obtain position with Orange County Sheriff's Department. I'm currently very far into the process and hoping to become a Deputy Sheriff Trainee. If I were to get the position, I'd start the academy on February 2nd. Making 64k/year @ age 20 is just ridic to me.

be able to run a 4minute mile again
You once were able to run a 4 minute mile? That's amazing.
Also unless you are a serious runner why would you want to run a marathon? That sounds like the most horrible thing in the world. Are you doing it to say that you did it, or are you actually looking forward to running a marathon? That question is for anyone that has those crazy thoughts.
I ran the NY marathon in 1990. It was about the challenge of going from not running to being able to run 26.2 miles in a year. The actual experience of running it was a combination of exhileration, joy, wonder, pain, misery and nausea. The mental challenge of finishing despite a ton of setbacks on the day of the race was something I can draw on forever. The journey of preparing for the day was probably more transformative.Anyway, goals.Life:Get my dad's finances stable and my parents settled into the same nursing home.Find a new job or fulfillment (and a big raise) at the current one.See my European friends at least once.Visit my US friends more oftenPlay my sport with the enthusiasm and commitment I used to bring.Value fitness more Read some booksPoker:Enjoy playing even when I get stuckPlay better postflopIncrease bankroll to move up in stakes at least onceConnect with players for in-person discussionBecome comfortable playing live.
