ghetto casino

I found a casino in LA that doesnt card, I went with a friend last night and DAAAMN was it ghetto, Its called the Normandie casino its right by Inglewood and it is really ugly, BUT they have a super soft 3/6 game there that I think I could do good at even with slightly less of a bankroll (maybe 1200 or 1400 ) anyway, I went with a friend, and I was thinking about going on weekends but I dont know anything about the place. Does anyone know about it? if it's safe, day, night, any benefits, disadvantages? do you recommend going? If anyone has had experience at this place (or any other place similar) I would apreciate some feedback. Thanks.

IngleHOOD. not the nicest of areas, I havent ever heard of the Normandie... but thats not the greatest of places to be playing, especially if you are winning and carrying money out of there.

One of the first things I would do if I wasn't legally of age to play poker in a B&M, but found a really soft game that I could get into and I thought I could make a ton of money at would be to goto a public forum and tell everyone the name and location of it (that was one helacious run-on sentence). After that I would just probably wing it.

I'm only 17 but I've gotten into a few card clubs without being asked for age or ID (I look a little older than I am). I regularly play 3-6 at my local card room. I have family in LA and during the holiday week I played at Normandie Casino in Gardena for a couple of days. No ID check, no trouble. I tried Hustler Casino in Gardena but they asked for ID. If you want poker in LA without ID then Normandie is the way to go. Plus the game I was in was very weak passive.Good luck

Ya right by Inglewood, you know why he says "right by Inglewood", because it is in the MIDDLE OF FREAKING COMPTON. Now I don't know about you, but anytime someone needs to make it sound better by saying it is "right by Inglewood", shouldn't exactly instill confidence. I generally try not to get out of the car when visiting COMPTON, so if your plan is to hit up (ok bad choice of words) this casino, I think you better pack some heat.My advice: STAY THE F OUT OF COMPTON.Just what you need to be doing, taking some gang bangers rent check, that just pretty much will garantee you a quick trip to the morgue.

HAHA r u serious its in Compton?? holy crap, I thought it was in Gardena, I was a bit buzzed when I went, so I didnt realize where I was. The reason I said it was right by Inglewood is because as we left Normandie we were trying to find the 105 and somehow we ended up in Inglewood, I was pretty much scared shi.tless cuz we were in a really nice car, and the crackheads were all over the place. As far as the dudes I was playing with goes, they did look a bit like gangbangers, but they were all cool, I was the onlyone talking at the table at first, but afterwords everyone was chatting it up with me, so I guess I wasnt gonna get shot that night. :-) But now that u say its in friggin compton I say F that sht, Ill drive to Morongo.
