zimmer4141 0
Oh yeah, one more thing I forgot.I really think that in light of these events we need to take away Steve's mod privileges. Anybody who says things on here, then uses mod privileges to try to delete or hide those shouldn't be allowed those privileges anymore. Not sure how many agree with me, but that's my feeling on it. bigcoled 1
Thanks for all the suggestions.Good Luck. But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic. Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. Do to others as you would have them do to you.—Luke 6:27-31. NIV

Not sure how many agree with me, but that's my feeling on it.I think that as well, especially after the HU challenge and "lets talk about it outside" bs. I have no opinion on his program or it's value, but I've wondered about a mod being able to peddle their wares here. Just seemed to me like a mod should be above that. But what do I know? silkyjonson 1
I'd say that the more people interact both online and offline in similar communities and groups, and the more known their real identities become, the less weight the "it's just the internet" holds, especially in a community like this where thousands of dollars can be exchanged over "just the internet". Just my opinion.QFT from the huge scary guy with the super deep voice.
SlapStick 0
I just found it hilarious that everyone jumped down Poto's throat and then no one did it to Looshle. Not saying that people should have jumped on Looshle, but come on people don't be cowards, the reason alot of people respect Looshle is because he is'nt afreid to voice his opinion if he sees something that seems shifty. Poto may have came across a little combative, but these issues have been brought to Steve's attention in the past, and I don't know if its his intention to always whore out his school or if he just does'nt realize how bad it comes across.I said in my post that only a small few could say what loosh did without getting attacked by a posse. But I've read a lot of Potos posts and asides from staking a lot of people he's basically e-insane.Oh yeah, one more thing I forgot.I really think that in light of these events we need to take away Steve's mod privileges. Anybody who says things on here, then uses mod privileges to try to delete or hide those shouldn't be allowed those privileges anymore.Regardless of for or against Steve and although it would probably spell the end of Steve at this forum, Zimm is 100% right. Its ridiculous that someone can do this and asides from a few small things, the mods are great on this forum compared to other ones. I would assume most of them agree Steve should not be able to do this.

Cappy37 0
You think the pokerhaus guys don't benefit greatly from sharing their knowledge?you think it hurt craig marquis to get his introduction to poker from tom dwan and david benefield?do all the ridiculous volume MTT and SNG players who get houses together during the series accidently win a shitton of bracelets? when you combine a group of people passionate about something, they are going to get better. period.I trimmed out the rest, most of which I felt was overly harsh, to highlight these two thoughts, which are positively brilliant. Coupling the group interaction with the one on one instruction *is* a valuable commodity. For Everyone:In defense of Steve:I think that Steve is probably a nice guy, I've talked with him a bit about his training course in the past and he came across as very interested in what others were doing and not at all focused on getting money out of it. You have to realize that at $3000/6months, that's anywhere from 4-30BB's in the games he plays. While that may be a lot of money to some of us, that's not a lot of BB's to any of us (maybe the MTT donks...). The amount of work and time he puts into the training course is much larger than the time it would take him to make 4-30BBs.And this is the other stellar point in the thread. This is about value and time. When guys like TJ and Snamuh take on disciples, they don't get railroaded nearly as hard as this. They don't charge (or if they do, not to this extent), but the end result is the same: their PM box is flooded and they have the pick of the litter. There is absolutely no hint of "i need to spam the forum for my own personal benefit".Does Steve use the forum to troll for students? Puhhhlleeease.. I have *zero* connection to the guy and I'm not blind. He's doing quite well regardless. Does it monetaritly make or break him whether 150 fcpers know of his program or 600 do? Not in the slightest. It's not 100% charity, but it's pure in nature and you have to take a long, hard look in the mirror as to why you could get so angry about all of this. We're a family. We all have similar goals and passions, and we love our forum. We love to post in strat, in off topic, in genpo, rip each other off in monopoly, start stake threads, rail big tourneys, participate in challenge threads and forum challenges.Where in gods name does all the *actual* hate come from? If JC, BKice, Steve7Stud, Looshe, Obey, Only, and god knows who else takes FCP off their bookmark tomorrow, what exactly is gained? Nothing. What is lost? Friendship, knowledge, and a piece of *ourselves*.For shame, really. Have a problem with someone? PM them about it. Dragging it out into public only brings out the worst elements and no good truly comes from it. It's a big forum, there is room for everyone. How someone taking time out of their busy schedule to help others is subject for public scorn, I will never know. Steve has acted like a jacka$$ at times in these two threads, but, in his defense, he's been pretty unfairly attacked. I know I wouldn't be on my best behaviour in the same situation, either. It makes me sick all around, to be honest. Peace.

theresa113 0
I remember when:Steve caught shit for name dropping when he posted in any thread. Gank posted a thread asking who could get him a 420 hook up in Arizona.Looshle would post LHE videos. OT posters didn't change their names.People didn't have obnoxiously big signatures that have to be blocked. I could harmlessly flirt with Theresa. The Up The Beach baseline intro was sweet. Red buckets and gatorade bottles.Finding out what someone ate for lunch.I could derail a thread with ease.RonMexico was just kind of e-gay. dudeOh, you can still harmlessly flirt with me! I am so sorry I was a bitch for a while. It really was due the physical pain I was in and I really had no idea how the pain messed with my head until after the fact. But I have been all better for about a year. I know what I was going through is really no excuse but I am truly sorry for treating you or anyone else poorly.

steve7stud 0
I have no clue what a mod can do vs what a normal person on here can do. I know that I get tons of e-mails asking to change things, delete, etc. But I have no problem not being a mod anymore. I was asked to be a mod as a favor. It's a position that has few rewards if any. Needless to say, Bob is taking care of it.As for why I deleted my post.....It was told to me by friends that I was adding fuel to the fire. Which is very true. So I deleted it.I honestly don't plan to be around much if at all.But hopefully everyone will continue to prosper in the new year.
