UCFrizzo 0
Hey everyone I'm heading out to Vegas next week. It will be my second time out there in the past year and a half. I was just wondering if some vets could tell me some must do's and dont's.Im looking for...1) poker rooms2) places to eat3) bars/clubs4) strip clubs5) anything booze related6)sportsbooksAny information is greatly appreciated. I am mostly a 1/2-2/5NL hold em player so the best rooms for that would be helpful. Thanks again for your time.Rizzo
Steamed Rice 0
Venetian poker room is great. A lot of donks at the MGM Grand.I don't recommend strip clubs in Vegas, it's a waste of time and money. If that's your thing then probably the Spearmint Rhino.Pure Nightclub @ Caesar's is great. If you want some fun, cheap action, the 25c Horse racing machine at the MGM is the nuts.I like Caesar's and the MGM sportsbooks...ESPN Zone @ NYNY is very friendly and a fun atmosphere on Sundays. Can't really help you with booze. I usually just Fat Tuesday's it and walk the strip.
king_tanner 84
Pretty much everywhere down the strip has NL, even the smaller rooms. My favorite places to play 1/2 NL are Venetian and Planet Hollywood. If you're planning on getting drunk, the smaller poker rooms like IP, Mirage, Oshea's Bill's, Luxor, etc... are better because cocktail waitresses come by faster, and whole table is usually drunk. For places to eat, there is a thread in Off Topic about FCP'ers favorite places, I will try to find the link. For bars and clubs, PURE at Caeser's, Rain at The Palms, Tao at Venetian. Beware of cover charges and very expensive drinks. Here is the Restaurant thread:http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/poker-foru...gas+RestaurantsStrip clubs... Spearmint Rhino, it is like Disneyland, my favorite place in Vegas. $20 lap dances. $100 private dances... 100 gets you chick for 3 songs. There will be a cover charge here also, and expensive drinks.Sportsbooks.... everywhere. I like Bellagio and Caesers because of the comfortable chairs.
AdamDarv 0
1) poker rooms - Venetian 1-2, 2-5, Bellagio 2-5, MGM 1-2, Gold Nugget 1-2, Hard Rock 1-22) places to eat - Everywhere - depends on what you are looking for, but almost impossible to go wrong.3) bars/clubs - TAO, Ghost Bar, Pure, Taboo4) strip clubs - Spearmint Rhino5) anything booze related - The entire place is booze related, but try some drunken Pai Gow Poker at Bills Gambling Hall as well as drunken No Limit Holdem plaed with 1 blind of $1 also at Bills. O'Sheas is another good place to drink right down the strip from Bills.6)sportsbooks - Venetian, MGM, Ceasers

GetSprung 0
Blah blah same information over and over. Go to Firefly, play at Venetian, get drunk everywhere. Make sports bets at Caesar's, party at Pure, and get a hooker/stripper at Sapphire.

Not sure about cash games, but the low limit tournament at Planet Hollywood is very soft. 2. Margaritaville in Flamingo3. No idea4. Never been, but Rhino5. If you cant find booze in Vegas, you should probably just quit.6. Caesars has one of the better ones that I found last time I was there
nutzbuster 7
Planet Hollywood threw their poker room out into the hallway. Horrible.Hard Rock has one of the coolest new poker rooms I've seen. No idea what the action is like and rumor has it that it's days may be numbered. Too bad if true. This for food..http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/poker-foru...;hl=restaurantswhat everyone else said
Suited_Up 2
Planet Hollywood threw their poker room out into the hallway. Horrible.WAT? Explain!
GetSprung 0
WAT? Explain!Old news man. They got kicked out of their room for the high limit section. Total bullshit. Less tables and in the middle of the ****ing casino. Worst decision ever.
nutzbuster 7
WAT? Explain!Sad but true. They took that great little space and made it a special gaming area. The poker room is now out along the main walkway, out in the main room amongst the machines and such, as you walk towards the back (towards that great sandwich place) but it sucks now.No idea if this is permanent, but I was totally shocked when I saw it a few weeks ago. nutzbuster 7
That's fucking retarded!! Used to be one of my fav fooms. Fuck that shit!totally agree. It's either another sign of the decline of pokers popularity, or P H has lost it's f*cking mind.
nutzbuster 7
Hard Rock room pics, fyi. The first 3 tables have their own space between colums and plasmas, very bad ass. I have a feeling that this place could be a gold mine before/during/after a show/concert here on a weekend?
Suited_Up 2
Wow, looks very nice!I was thinking the same thing when I first heard they opened it too. Not even w/ concerts though, just knowing the type who goes there, I bet it's like MGM x 10. Mainly because nobody goes there for poker right now.
UCFrizzo 0
Yea im definitely going to have to check out that Hard Rock room. Seems like the consensus is Hard Rock and Venetian. Thanks for all the advice and keep the info coming if you guys can. Thanks againRizzoWell, I have no idea how the action is at Hard Rock, just that it has a very nice appearance. We walked through it a month ago and while I did not have time to play I liked what I saw. I will plan a session there next time I am in town.Bellagio always is a good place to play for me as I seem to do well there in the 2/5. But it is probably the worst room. The tables are so close together that there is almost no room to walk and people are constantly bumping/slamming into your chair to get by. It gets beyond f-ing annoying.Mirage has some good games too and I like the room. And the bathrooms are practically in your lap, a huge plus.Caesars is very nice (but I personally run like shit there).Venetian is arg. the best room (service, plenty of space, etc.) very nice. and the Noodle Asia food bar very close by and open til 2 AM. Grand Lux is also here if you are starving late. MGM used to be super fishy but last time it had tightened up quite a bit. Last session there was tougher than usual. It's been a very ling time since I played at the Wynn, but I do remember liking it. Sorta smallish though. Those are my fave rooms.
