I feel that I am more introverted in some situations, but extremely extroverted in others ... like when I'm drunk! Then I am the life of the party ... or at least I feel that way. Others probably just want me to shut up and leave. Maybe I just have multiple personalities. I know it's your modus operandi to jump in and make a declarative observation and then pounce on any objection, but without arguing the point: What do you think would be missing from a person that was ENTJ or ENTP, that the "I" wouldn't be missing? I consider any relatively solid but ultimately invalid or unsound objection and respond with clarification or rebuttal. Any objection that is unassailable I accept, and correct or abandon my position accordingly, then move on. That last one very rarely happens these days in part because of that last one. Also because I am amazing. What do you think would be missing from a person that was ENTJ or ENTP, that the "I" wouldn't be missing? I wouldn't use the word missing. It is probably because intro - inward, within - is where... the brain... resides. So, those who "draw their energy" from, and/or spend more of their time with, and/or are more prone to enjoy being within, inward, intro, are drawing their energy from, spend more time with and are more prone to enjoy their mind, their brain. That'd be my guess. Also, to clarify, I am not saying that being INTJ or INTP excludes someone from being "stupid in some very important ways" - or just straight up stupid. Or that everyone of any other type is by necessity SISVIW. Just the odds for avoiding this fate are worse for other types, and the odds are poor to begin with. Link to post Share on other sites

I think innovation is an artistic/creative process as much as it is logical/practical. ultimately you need to have a sound understanding of cost/benefit to be an effective innovator, but being open-minded and able to disregard previous 'logic trees' to cross-pollinate seemingly unrelated ideas is really valuable. Especially now that the days of the individual's ability to make legitimate breakthroughs are nearly over, and everyone doing anything that matters is working in a team. I think because of this, we will see women make huge progress in our lifetime, as far as like STEM employment and such. Link to post Share on other sites

Being an introvert does not equal not "having the ability to socialize". That's not how it works, or what it means. An introvert is more likely to have poor socialization skills than an extrovert because they generally like it less and are drained by it, and therefore get less practice, sure.
