Dago 0
hehe Wsox it isn't normal, but i've seen it happen several times too. I guess they are so short they don't believe they have a chance anymore so that prefer to get blinded out and hope in the meanwhile someone is insane enough to go broke.... Which i've seen happen too :PI ended yesterday very badly. 3 wins in 8 and after that a horrible 2 wins in 8! my lowest ever since I 8-table. I think I repushed/called a bit too often which almost always ended in coinflips that didn't go my way. Sometimes better to fold those hands and push a hand that gets folded to you later even if it's a worse hand.Today much better: 17/24 (70.8% wins)

Dago 0
no tracker here, except for pen and paper Not because I don't want to use one, but because I'm terrible at trying to get it working. The AKs hand... if it wasn't on a paired board then I'd defenitely shove. But on a paired board I most likely wouldn't... I'm always scared of drawing dead in situations like that.Today's stats$5.2's = 7/12 or 58%$10.4's = 17/28 or 60.7%Together 56.4$ profit today. last 3 days together i'm playing these at a profit 20$/hr average. whining 0
Some people don't know how to play these games at all. This is my short story of a really bad play. The cards were just running over me early in a 5 dollar double or nothing. I end up eliminating 4 players and have 8000 in chips. I then just min raise every single pot because i have so many chips i can risk it and I want to end this tourney as quickly as possible.Six players left.Eventually the chip counts are as follows:Player 1: ~1200Player 2: ~1100Player 3: ~1200Player 4: 200SB (Me): ~9600BB: ~1700Blinds are 50 and 100Everyone folds to me. I min raise with J6 of diamonds. The BB calls.Flop: 10c 4d 2hI go allin. Obviously I think this guy is just going to fold because Player four only has 200 left. If not i don't care if I get called because I'd still have so many chips I could just fold the rest of the way and win.The BB calls me with JcJsI get runner runner diamonds and win the pot and the tourney. It is my belief this guy should have folded immediately. I could have any two cards including overcards. The player with 200 chips only had 2 bb's. This guy could have easily made the money by just folding. It doesn't matter that he was 94% to win or whatever the odds are. Why take the 6 % risk with such a shortstack out there. Hell once you get to like 5k-6k you should be doing that. But yeah, I fold preflop if i was him. You both played it terribly, though.

But if I'm starting to tilt I find it therapeutic to punish people for their stupidity, you know an eye for an eye. You bone my equity, if got a chance to get even I will. It backfired once tho lol. Weandago 0
hehe who cares what you do with 9600 chips. You need talent to go manage to go broke then :)I've got the weirdest day today.first 8 I play ... I win only 2next 8 ... win 7next 8 ... win 2next 8 ... win all 8.I'm not used to such big swings normally I win something between 3 and 6... average close to 5. today never near that average.Btw litlebullet, I like your challange but why play 6000 of them? if you do 5$ ones at an average of 60% win. then you win ~0.8$ for each game you play... that means you only need to play 2500 of them to get your 2000$ profit. Sounds a bit healthier no?

Poppy_Hillis 11
I just want to say that if you guys are playing $5's you might as well be playing $20's. You can get by with a 10 buy in roll unless you run just absolutely putrid. It doesn't take much to beat these.
Dago 0
I can also add some bad beat stories to that jeff :)my favorite one:PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $10.00+$0.40 Tournament, 15/30 Blinds (10 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.comBB (t1545)UTG (t1700)UTG+1 (t1480)Hero (UTG+2) (t1470)MP1 (t1530)MP2 (t1470)MP3 (t1440)CO (t1465)Button (t1420)SB (t1480)Hero's M: 32.67Preflop: Hero is UTG+2 with J, A2 folds, Hero calls t30, MP1 calls t30, 3 folds, Button raises to t60, 2 folds, Hero calls t30, MP1 calls t30Flop: (t225) 2, 2, J(3 players)Hero bets t120, 1 fold, Button calls t120Turn: (t465) J(2 players)Hero bets t180, Button calls t180River: (t825) K(2 players)Hero bets t240, Button raises to t1060 (All-In), Hero calls t820Total pot: t2945but also AA < QJ/AKs < AT. and a bunch of coinflips 44 < AQ, TT < AJ, A2 < K9, TT < AQ Edit: got a even better bad beat: K4 lost against A7 after a 44T flop... turn 7 river 7 :PSo I don't agree with the 10 buy-in roll that should be enough. maybe for non-turbo's and if you play only one or two a at time but in turbo's I think you need more if you want to be a little safe.I work with a 80 buy-in rule ... but since I play 8 at once you can sort of see it as a 10 buy-in rule I guess .800 roll now = 8*10$'s if I move up to 900 I can play 7*10$ and 1*20$If my next set of 8 runs as badly as the last two I played now I'll play 6*10$ and 2*5$ next time.Edit: see my next one I only won 3 out of 8.wins: KK > AQ, AQs>85, AK > KQ .... races where i'm a big favorite i can win today butlosses: AK < 99, T6s < 44, 33 < QJ, JJ < KK (I called a 33 push KK sat in the BB and called too ofc), Q3s < A5o .... 3 coinflips, one cooler, and a 40/60 chance
jeff_536 3
bad start today, 0-2 and in the first hand of my third one I get JJ in the BB, pop it to 100 vs. two limpers, button calls.Flop a set, but he turned a straight and rivered a flush with T8s. Lost 600.
jeff_536 3
I think I`m playing in the tightest $5 DoN ever. ManPlus 0
Does anyone have much experience of playing the different levels of these, i.e I'm consistantly winning 70% at $1.10, is this likely to change much when I move up to the $5.20s and $10.40s?
GWCGWC 83
any interest in trading hand histories to build up out PT databases at this level? Hell once you get to like 5k-6k you should be doing that. But yeah, I fold preflop if i was him. You both played it terribly, though. Please don't sit out unless you would have sat out no matter what your chip count is. It could very well have an effect on the outcome of the game. I'm all for folding but sitting out is lame. I just want to say that if you guys are playing $5's you might as well be playing $20's.
