Serge's Challenge Extravaganza

Recommended Posts

My first pick: one lap on skates around an NHL sized rink.
See thats ridicolous..The original posts states certain events..We arent adding events where you would crush me.I made a post with THOSE events and then you go and add hockey stuff..nope..We stay with the events i listed, then we can add events that we BOTH agree to..Or else I can add reading of the Armenian Alphabet as an event..

I'd like to point out to potential challengers of this bet that it is put forth by the same guy who texted me while at the ACC that his feet were too sore to come down the stairs from his seat to have a beer with me, so I had to climb from my nice lower bowl seat all the way to the absolute highest fkin row in the building during intermission.Dibs on a bet on Chris in this challenge, anything up to $200 with any taker.

lol..the foot problem is temporary, my domination in these games/sports is permanent over Chris.

But serge, the very fact that you have the games on your list means you feel you have at least a fighting chance. I, for example, have never played backgammon. I'm assuming that you've at least skated. So how are those any different

Yes but its my challenge and you said you can beat me in at least 6 of them...Lol..now you are getting scared..The games on my list are common games/sports that people play...I admittedly am not a very good pool player. You have the edge in golf, but they are events that we can compete in....Hockey meanwhile is pointless, since you are a hockey player, and I WATCH hockey..

Because Serge can't get lucky and beat you at skating, but anybody can win a game of backgammon.

yes...exactly.I think the games are fair..An athlete such as himself should beat me in running, golf, tennis and bowling...Doesnt leave me with much edge if you ask me.

For a small percentage, I can teach you backgammon AND the Armenian alphabet. :club:

If the TSN thing doesn't go through, someone at least ought to be capturing this with a cam-corder and youtubing it.
very good idea..I am sure that can be arranged.
this needs to be done reality tv style and have "confessionals" etc the whole bit.

This may not be the right place, but it does involve hockey related material. I have been meaning to offer this for a long time, and I think if I find the right person I would like to pursue the challenge.I challenge anyone in this forum to a decathlon of events, betting and games. I will list a number of events and we will play 10 of these games(5 I pick, 5 you pick). It will work like a decathlon. Here are the possible events.GolfHeads up Poker(Limit or no limit)100 yrd dash(just like the olympics)Wii BowlingTennis(yes real Tennis)Hockey Betting(on actual games)MonopolyBackgammonChessNHL 09 on XBOXBowling(real bowling)Bubble HockeyFree Throw shooting(basketball OBV)PoolSit and Go Challenge(on pokerstars, rules to be determined)I challenge ANYONE in the world, that I can beat you overall in this format. You pick 5, and I pick 5..I will bet anything up to $500..You can suggest other games if you wish, however they must be approved. There will be a 3-6 month training period and the sites of the events can be determined. When I say ANYONE, i mean anyone..I can even take on Tiger Woods...So he beats me in Golf...TAKERS?
take out these three.... Althought I have never Wii bowled, I'm willing to learn...ADD:Frisbee golfRiskPaintball (one on one challenge)

I have an added twist for when we play, Serge.Golf can be one of the events, but we have to alternate hands on every hole. Odd numbered holes we shoot left and even numbered holes we shoot right.

It looks like there is a lot of guys that want to take a shot at me..The first one will be against Gruven..Negotiations have started, we just have to set a schedule for each event. I would also like a couple of Toronto FCPers to come and watch/referee as well as if possible video tape the whole thing. I have a video camera and with some technical help we can have it up on Youtube in no time.I think Chris is going away to Bahamas in early January, I would be willing to go as early as mid January if he is up for it.

there's info on it here: http://www.videohelp.com/forum/archive/rog...vr-t295056.html you have to record them first to the pvr .... then open the pvr list "list" then select output to vcr -- this gets it out of the pvr ..... BUT you will need to capture the output - the easiest way i can think of is to use a video -> dv convertor ... many are mentioned here on the forum , not that expensive (the signal coming out of the pvr is very clean).. your computer needs to have a firewire (sometimes called a ilink) port or a firewire card (cheap) .. then use windows movie maker (free from microsoft) to capture and to create a windows (wmv) file .... the above is the simplest way i can think of - and the most cost effective ..
