my four hands with micheal "the grinder" mizrachi

Recommended Posts

So i sit down to play in a poker stars two dollar buy in tourney today. As usual, a player goes all in preflop the first hand of the game. It was none other than the above, pro Micheal Mizrachi. I knew his account name from his win of the weekly 250 k tourney. He proceeded to go all in every hand pre flop, until his 9-5 offsuit cracked another guys k-j. I asked him why the hell he was playing in the game. He says "free two dollars, LOL." Anyways, he loses the next hand, which leaves him with about 1,500 in chips. He goes all in pre-flop. I call with 4-4, a hand i rarely ever play let alone call all- in bets with...i just wanted to be able to say that i beat a pro out of pot. Another guy calls the all in with 10-10, so The Grinder and I get knocked out...earlier in the match i challenged him to a heads up match and he said no, which was disappointing cuz even though i would probably lose it would have been fun. I hope he doesnt win Card Player mag's player of the year. I dont like his attitude, his nickname, or the way he wears his hit to the side like some G-Unit guy. And i dont think he's that great of poker player. He's good, but not as good as he thinks.

So your evidence of that is his conduct in one 2 dollar tournament? This is why Full Tilt is a better site. Their pros play small games, and they always take them seriously.

You might not like the way he wears his hat or his clothes, but to say he isn't that good is just ridiculous. He has had an amazing year so far, and took two horrible beats at final tables in big money tournies (one of them to DN). He is one of the best online players in the world and is showing that he is a top tier live tournament player as well.

Ok, i never said he wasnt good, i said he wasnt as good as he thinks he is. And yes, i think he is a tool...this coming from an associate who knows him quite well and has played with him on numerous occasions. And i was not upset at losing, as that is what two dollar tourneys are for, unless you want to grind out for five mind numbing hours to win what you could have made playing cash games for an hour. I just found his behavior to be low class...which is fine...i dont think he is on par with Negreanu, Ivey, Hellmuth, etc. Maybe he will be someday, but i dont think so. By the way, there are far better players than him on pokerstars alone.and for those of you who took offense to my comments, im sorry for making fun of your boyfriend.

So your evidence of that is his conduct in one 2 dollar tournament? This is why Full Tilt is a better site. Their pros play small games, and they always take them seriously. Not entirely true. I've played with Ivey and Juanda on Full Tilt when I have been lucky enough to catch them on one of the low limit tables, and they were giving away they're money. Ivey proceeded to give about $200 in .50/1 limit in about 30 minutes. It was actually pretty funny, everyone on the table was laughing and the railbirds were freaking out.Usually, they play hard (even in the SnG and low buy-in MTT) but not always.
