PhilBluff 0
Posting this from the Pitt thread. Overall a great 6 hour session and always good to profit.Trip report:Got to Mountaineer around 7:30, watched some of the Pens game and sat down and my first cash session. No real big hands, bought in with 180 to force myself to play tight which is optimal for 1/2. I work my way up to 250 with a c-bet with AK to collect an 60 dollar pot(Raise to 12, 5 callers). Cash out at 240 to play a 40 dollar turbo SNG. First pays 300, nothing for second combined with 10 minute blinds means you have to collect chips early. Collecting is easy as I pick out the two other good players really fast as all the others wear their cards on their hands and faces. First hand I play is A-3 clubs in the BB in a multi-way limped pot. Two clubs on board and a 2k stack with 50-25 blinds I shove and catch against a set of 6s. Very next hand I get AA in the SB and in another multiway pot but I raised it up to 600 at the same blind level, one caller. Flop AKJ, another 1000 goes in and he calls, at this point im either way ahead or way behind. Turn card brings the pain to the other guy pairing the board with the J. It goes all-in and I slam home the boat and the KO. The rest was pretty standard as I worked the turbo to perfection and chopped 200-100 for a nice score.I ended up playing cash for another hour or so missing a Royal draw and getting rivered down to 60 when I got into another 40 SNG. This one was just as bad as the first as I picked out the two good players immediately. First hand I win the button and look down at KQs with several limpers in front of me, so raisey daisey it goes and obviously I get three callers who dont realize the amount to stack size. Flop was a nice, but scary KQJ rainbow flop. It gets checked to me as I throw in two purples for a G and folds around to me. Nice start. The next big hand I got involved in was AJ sooted UTG where I raised 400 PF and got two callers. Flop was 247 and I fire out a C-bet as that usually takes it down. But a loose player (ended up chopping with her first SNG) makes a painful call and it goes to heads up. Turn was a 4 and I fire a second c-bet of 600 and she doubles it. I think a second before saying "Must have got there with your A-5 off." and throw it into the muck. She turns over the A-5 to the oohs and ahhs of the table (Stupid fish). End up on a losing end of a race to a short stack KQ<66 with a six on the flop and a meaningless Q on the river. My bust out hand, with 1600 behind me in the BB at 100-200 blinds was AK and with two limpers it goes all-in. The loose female player makes a decent (sw) call with Q-5 off and with a 5 in the door I'm down on the night.I am ready to leave but my two buddies are sitting nice with 500+ on the 1-2 tables with a great table so they obv dont wanna leave. So I buy in for 180 in 1-2 around 1:30 in the morning and my Rockstar kicking in. This table was the perfect setup, not a decent player at the table with your standard older play by the book players and the loose drunk young guns. I fold for 5 hands when I see a multi-limped pot with K10h and the BB raised to 10 with the five calls including mine. Flop was a beautiful A J Q two club flop. I check and the BB bets out 20. Folded around to me and I announce a raise to 55. He immediately calls and I pray for no club. Turn was a 3 of diamonds and I throw out a stack of 50 and he almost beats me into the pot. Right now I throw out the flush draw and put him on AQ, AJ, or possibly AK. River was a club, but I was so pot committed I threw in my remaining chips around 70 total. He painstakingly thinks for a few minutes and puts in his call and I flip over broadway for a 400 plus pot.A few AQs later and I cash out 500 even for a profit of 240 on the night (minus dinner and a drink or two) and drive home with our total profits on the night over a thousand. PhilBluff 0
i agree with that statement that people suck so bad at that casino. My buddy flopped a set of 4s on a k 10 4 flop dude goes all in with probably two pair and my buddy puts his 130 stack in. Guy behind him thinks FOREVER and calls with AJ of hearts for a gutter and hits runner-runner flush to bust him. Worst part was he was texting and looks up and goes "RUNNER RUNNER BABY!" and slams his cards into the table

fryer98 30
I actually picked up my buddy in Harmar on the way to WV, thats the way we took then took 2 all the way in.I live right on Rt 30....by Raccoon State Park. Yes, in the sticks.Either one... I havent played live poker since May so I am itching to playI can't speak on the casino, but I've been told it's nice. All new, so it almost has to be.The poker room is very nice. Spread out and all new tables. By now, most of the dealers are pretty good, unlike when they first opened and I had to help them out all the time.90% of the tables will be 1-2NL....a few 2-4 Limit, probably one or two 3-5 NL tables and a few higher NL tables too.Where ya from? PhilBluff 0
Well the sticks isn't that bad, well maybe. The entire setup is very nice and pretty new. It is kinda hard to find your way around if you dont know where you are going.Dealers have vastly improved, but you still will have that random guy who sucks. Mostly 1-2 but it has grown to a regular 3-6 omaha game with a full kill.

Jelly-Filled Ace 1
Casino isn't anymore different than any other east coast Indian reservation-type. Balcony band at night, decent ambiance, tight slots and you'll get a drink faster going to the bar yourself. 3.75 for a beer. The walk-up grill is priced right, huge pizza slice for 2 bux. Dice tables take a road map to find but the upside is it's not as crowded over there.Nothing jumps out as extraordinary and yet no reason to piss on the place, either. Good time and I'll be back again at some point in time. Considering Salamanca is only 90 miles and Mountaineer is 3x that, it's a no-brainer where I go but WV is much nicer - except for the free drinks.
CaptainQuint88 0
Well my girlfriend just informed me that she knows someone with some kind of connections there so we are getting a free room, so I'm not too concerned with the quality, but its good to know everyone seems to like it. I was at Wheeling Island last year and was pretty impressed with that too.
