The AQ hand is pretty brutal first because he smooth called an aggressive player with 10% of his stack with AQ bleh and then reships on a guy who from all accounts is playing pretty solid. Looks like Demidov is playing well and Shwartz as well still think anybody's game but I don't like Phillips chance or Suharto unless they get pretty lucky/run well.

Again, I totally agree, spot on. I'll be curious to see on Tuesday night what Demidov called with on the KK337 board when Phillips had KQ. Did he have nothing more than A high? Maybe 88, 99 or 10 10? I guess thats an example of running well. If you see my hometown I'm obviously a bit biased for Phillips, so I hope the deck smacks him in the face the rest of the night.

FYP, and yes, it makes a huge difference. But Demidov said 'Thats a really bad card, but I dont think I can fold' And the commentators said with the preflop action it was very unlikely he had AA. I clicked the link only to see the river action, but I think it was 77....simply cause by them saying the preflop action makes AA unlikely, it makes me think Demidov flat called a preflop raise. Hard to think he would called with any 3, even 23s/34s/35s. Then again it could be 88-TT and he considered it a bad card cause it makes it less likely Phillips has a K.....but it sounded like he got rivered. Like I said i dont know what happened except the river. Can anyone tell me?

We have a couple of local guys blogging and updating fairly freqently about what is going on. I thought this one was pretty funny given the events leading up to the final table:"They just introduced Tiffany Michelle to the crowd, and she was booed mercilessly."

Hall of Fame InductionsWith the dinner break having come to an end, it's time now for the 2008 inductions into the Poker Hall of Fame. This year's inductees are Duane "Dewey" Tomko and Henry Orenstein. A lectern has been placed on the stage near the dealer box. We imagine that a few (short) speeches will be made as part of the ceremony before play resumes.Hall of Fame Inductions ContinueAfter some introductory remarks by WSOP Commissioner Jeffrey Pollack, Doyle Brunson introduced the first inductee into the Hall of Fame, Dewey Tomko. Tomko is now at the lectern, delivering a speech of his own.The Induction of Henry OrensteinWith Dewey Tomko's speech concluded, Commissioner Pollack took the microphone back to say a few words about tonight's other inductee, Henry Orenstein. Orenstein couldn't be here tonight, so Mori Eskandari is delivering a speech and accepting the induction on Orenstein's behalf.Couldn't they have done this BEFORE the final table started?
