This should be broadcast live on ESPN 2. If they can show the entire NFL draft they can show the entire final table. Hopefully they wise up next year.
QFT...put it on ESPN Classic for all I care....getting rid of the Final table PPV was a shitty decision

Now down to 7 as Demidov takes care of Kim details to followSun, 09 Nov 2008 15:37:24Hand #54 - Ivan DemidovIvan Demidov has the button in Seat 7. There is no small blind for this hand. When everyone in front of him folds, he raises to 1,050,000. Both blinds fold, allowing Demidov to take down the pot. Sun, 09 Nov 2008 15:36:58Hand #53 - Kelly Kim Eliminated in 8th Place ($1,288,217)Chino Rheem has the button in Seat 6. All but 150,000 of Kelly Kim's chips are committed in the big blind. Ylon Schwartz limps in, Darus Suharto limps, Ivan Demidov limps, and Kelly Kim moves all in from the big blind. Schwartz, Suharto, and Demidov all call an additional 150,000 each. Action will continue on the side between Schwartz, Suharto and Demidov. The flop is 9h,6s,2s . Demidov bets 600,000, Schwartz folds and Suharto calls. The Ah falls on the turn and both Demidov and Suharto check. The river is the Qd and they check it down again. The hands are turned over for the side pot. Suharto 9c,10c Demidov 9d, 5s Suharto's pair of nines with a ten kicker just edges out Demidov for the side pot. Kim, though, mucks his hand, unable to beat either of his opponents. Suharto takes the main pot and Kim leaves the stage in 8th place to a roar of approval from his supporters. He'll take home $1,288,217 for his Main Event finish. Sun, 09 Nov 2008 15:30:30Viva La Kelly! Most of the pundits were predicting that Kelly Kim would be the first player to exit the final table today, as he arrived for play with only about ten big blinds. After a few hours of grinding away patiently with his short stack, he's now guaranteed himself at least an additional $387,547 in prize money.

for written feed wsop.comfor audio feedhttp://www.bluffmagazine.com/blufftv/Sun, 09 Nov 2008 15:50:38Hand #59 - Dennis PhillipsScott Montgomery has the button in Seat 4. Dennis Phillips opens for 1,200,000 and picks up the blinds and antes. Sun, 09 Nov 2008 15:49:34Hand #58 - Darus SuhartoYlon Schwartz has the button in Seat 3. Chino Rheem is the first player in this time, raising to 1 million. Everyone folds around to the big blind, Darus Suharto, who reraises all in for just less than 15 million. Rheem has just 3.5 million left behind his initial raise so this is effectively a raise by Suharto to 4.5 million. Rheem, who jettisoned his white baseball cap about an hour ago in favor of putting his sweatshirt hood over his head, glances at Suharto a few times and asks him a few soft questions, looking for guidance. Suharto is completely ignoring him. After two minutes, Rheem folds. Sun, 09 Nov 2008 15:44:02Hand #57 - Darus SuhartoDennis Phillips has the button in Seat 1. Darus Suharto opens for 1,100,000. He gets no takers and wins the blinds and antes. Sun, 09 Nov 2008 15:42:34Hand #56 - Scott MontgomeryPeter Eastgate has the button in Seat 9. Scott Montgomery opens to 1.1 million for the second hand in a row. This time, everyone folds, allowing him to take down the blinds and the antes. Sun, 09 Nov 2008 15:41:03Hand #55 - Dennis PhillipsThere is a dead button in Seat 8. Scott Montgomery raises to 1,100,000 and the action is folded around to Dennis Phillips in the big blind. He reraises to 3.7 million total and Montgomery quickly mucks. Phillips takes down the pot as the "Phillipians" predictably go nuts.

Chip count at end of level is Ivan Demidov 40,875,000 Ylon Schwartz 32,175,000 Peter Eastgate 21,675,000 Scott Montgomery 16,400,000 Dennis Phillips 10,650,000 Darus Suharto 8,550,000 David "Chino" Rheem 5,900,000 Sun, 09 Nov 2008 16:19:45Players Take a 20-Minute BreakAnother big hand, another twenty-minute break. Sun, 09 Nov 2008 16:19:23Hand #66 - Darus SuhartoScott Montgomery has the button in Seat 4. Everyone passes to Ylon Schwartz, who raises to 1.1 million from the cutoff. Scott Montgomery folds the button. Darus Suharto peeks at his cards in the small blind and then announces that he is all-in for a total of 3.9 million. Chino Rheem gets out of the way, sending action back around to Schwartz. He shrugs and says, "Alright, I call." Suharto:Ah,Kc Schwartz: Qc,8s Suharto can't be thrilled with this call by Schwartz, as Schwartz has a fairly weak hand but still two live cards against Suharto's ace-king. Suharto must be even less thrilled after the flop comes 2h,6s,Qh . The flop gives Schwartz top pair and a stranglehold on the hand, but there are still two cards to come. The first catches Suharto squarely in the face -- the Kc gives him a pair of kings to overtake Schwartz's queens. Suharto is motionless when this happens, but does turn around to offer his supporters a smile on the river Ah. Despite an ugly flop, Suharto doubles up at Schwartz's expense Hand #65 - Ylon SchwartzYlon Schwartz has the button in Seat 3. He raises to 1,200,000, the blinds fold, and Schwartz wins the pot. Sun, 09 Nov 2008 16:11:28Hand #64 - Ivan DemidovDennis Phillips has the button in Seat 1. Ivan Demidov opens the pot to 1,050,000, taking the blinds and antes when everyone else folds Sun, 09 Nov 2008 16:10:02Hand #63 - Chino Rheem Doubles Through Ivan DemidovPeter Eastgate has the button in Seat 9. Chino Rheem moves all in for his remaining 2,700,000 and Ivan Demidov makes the call. Rheem Ac Kh Demidov 9s 9h The flop is 8s,7h,5d , Demidov's nines still leading. Rheem is looking for an ace or a king to survive... and he hits the Kd on the turn as the room explodes. Every fan in the room is on their feet as the dealer burns and turns the river. The Jd falls and Rheem doubles up. "Chino! Chino! Chino!" chants the crowd as he rakes in the pot. He's now up to 6,450,000. Sun, 09 Nov 2008 16:06:57Hand #62 - Ylon SchwartzIvan Demidov has the button in Seat 7. Ylon Schwartz takes down the pot with a raise to 1.1 million when everyone else folds. Sun, 09 Nov 2008 16:05:48Hand #61 - Ivan DemidovChino Rheem has the button in Seat 6. Demidov leads out for 3,325,000. Suharto tanks silently for about two minutes before announcing a reraise. Suharto makes it 5 million more to go and Demidov immediately moves all in. Suharto folds less than a minute later and Demidov takes down the monster pot. Sun, 09 Nov 2008 15:54:13Hand #60 - Scott MontgomeryDarus Suharto has the button in Seat 5. Action folds to Scott Montgomery, who raises to 1.1 million. That bet wins the pot when everyone else folds.

It is probably easier if you post the link to the update site every once in a while and just post the bigger hands.http://www.pokernews.com/live-reporting/no...nal-table/day1/

Sounds like Phillips is playing pretty damn horrible.

Sounds like Phillips is playing pretty damn horrible.
Hard to argue you with you, especially on the AQ v. QQ hand. He got lucky for sure and a very sketchy all in play on his part. I think he played the QQ hand against Chino's JJ just fine. I'm dying to know what went down on that hand early on vs. Demidov. He limped UTG, Demidov raised, he re-raised, Demidov re-raised him and then he flatted. I'm not sure I get that either. I think the flop was 8-10-J rainbow. Phillips bet like 25% of the pot, Demidov shoved and Phillips mucked (hand is close to this, if I screwed up the description I apologize). I'm guessing Phillips had QQ, and Demidov KK or AA. I dunno though.

Sun, 09 Nov 2008 17:19:45Updated Chip CountsHere's how the final six stack up after Chino Rheem's elimination. Ivan Demidov still holds the chip lead, while Darus Suharto is now the short stack. Ivan Demidov 39,075,000 Peter Eastgate 28,425,000 Dennis Phillips 20,750,000 Ylon Schwartz 20,425,000 Scott Montgomery 18,150,000 Darus Suharto 9,400,000 Sun, 09 Nov 2008 17:18:32Hand #76 - David "Chino" Rheem Eliminated in 7th Place ($1,772,650)Ivan Demidov has the button in Seat 7. When the action passes to him, Chino Rheem open-shoves for 3.5 million. Peter Eastgate calls from the small blind. After Dennis Phillips folds the big blind, Rheem and Eastgate open their hands. Rheem: As Kc Eastgate:Ah,Qd Rheem is in an excellent position to double up, having Eastgate dominated preflop. All that changes when the flop comes Qs,5s,7d . Now Eastgate is the one who has Rheem dominated. Rheem needs a king or running cards to stay alive in this tournament. He doesn't get any help with the 9d ; he's down to his last three outs on the river. He can't find any of them. The river is the 4h to send Rheem out of the tournament in seventh place. He graciously offers a handshake and a hug to each of the remaining players at the table. Rheem has nothing to be ashamed of; his efforts in the Main Event have earned him $1,772,650. Sun, 09 Nov 2008 17:00:01 Hand #70 - Dennis Phillips Peter Eastgate has the button in Seat 9. Chino Rheem is the first player to enter the pot, raising to 1 million straight. Dennis Phillips, sitting in the small blind, makes the call only to have Ylon Schwartz squeeze him with a reraise to 4.4 million. Rheem turns around to his supporters behind him and says something, but it's inaudible from our side of the stage. He tanks for about a minute and a half before folding, bringing the action back to Dennis Phillips, decked out in his autographed St. Louis Cardinals cap and white button-down shirt. Phillips takes about a minute before announcing he's all in for 10.05 million. Schwartz quickly calls. The Dennis Phillips Army is on its feet, and it's bad news for their chosen champion. Phillips:Ac Q h Schwartz: Qc Qs Phillips is vigorously rubbing his lucky coin. He and Schwartz are both out of their seats. Phillips offers Schwartz a good luck handshake prior to the flop. Schwartz accepts it, then buries his face behind his hands, unable to watch the flop 4d,As,Jc. The Dennis Phillips Army cheers and Phillips let loose a fist pump -- he's paired his ace to take the lead in the hand. When the turn comes 6s, there's only one card in the deck that can prevent Phillips from doubling up. The river is not the Qd; it's the 3h, and if the Dennis Phillips army exploded on the flop, they let out an absolute roar with the hand and the pot secure. Phillips started the day with 24 million, took some early hits to drop down to about 6 million, but has come rocketing back. He's now at 21.45 million. Schwartz takes a hit to just less than 21 million.
