TheWynn 0
I'm so happy that a guy like Peter Eastgate shipped the Main Event. Not only is he my age @ 22 and the youngest Main Event winner ever, but he is humble and has ZERO ego.Best ambassador for poker in a while.I think you may be right. Freddec 0
Unleash your thoughts hereYou really should.seriously folks.........yeah, poker people like we are would defintely have rather seen a longer aired HU.........but we are in the huuuuuuuuuuge minority, the regular folk really just wants to see the bustout hand. As cool as it would have been to see these two guys battle HU, the typical espn crowd really doesnt give a shit......so whatever, atleast they even cover it imo
Bshealey786 0
They really did jipp us with the heads up action...shoulda been a good match and we saw that massive 2 hand battle!
NickZepp 0
When Yang won it they showed 2 hands. That HU battle lasted for over 200 hands I think. And there was an all in that wasn't shown during that HU. What they need to do is have a time delay and show HU with whole card cameras. Yes the HU battle could take forever or it could take a few minutes, but it's better than how they've done it most years in showing it months later. I understand having a time delay so you don't have players somehow cheating to see the cards. But I wouldn't mind an hour or 10 minute delay.
crowTrobot 2
hopefully they'll at least go back to a live webcast that works next year
Jrobb25 0
Not only AWFUL HUP but no interview of Eastgate afterwards. I find this not only wrong but, you know they did it cause his english isn't great.Once again ESPN proves to be a joke.

Its kind of like the George Bush effect of speach in politics imo.Just sayin...
FourFlusher 0
Thought I posted this, but can't find it...I think they should run a special after with the entire HU. Mic the players. No Normie or Lon, just a poker play by play like the Internet did last night. Pay For View would be fine...I'd pay like five bucks.

rcgs59 15
I am very glad I listened to the audio, as the televised version really missed the boat, especially on the HU play. Very disappointed in that TV presentation. Too many qualityhands where missed. ESPN you suck once again.
Gallo 1
two hands of heads up!!!! I feel robbed. lmao, waited 4 months to see the shortest edited HU portion in WSOP TV history.ffs. They really did jipp us with the heads up action...shoulda been a good match and we saw that massive 2 hand battle!

Snamuh 0
you think a player effectively all-in in the blind with the whole table trying to finish him off is 50/50?Where did I say this? You said he was 80% to go out the next hand, which is definitely not true. Maybe like 65-70%, but it's not a near certainty. Regardless, it was definitely a good shove, it's not really debatable. The reason these tournaments are so profitable for people like Eastgate/Demidov and anyone who plays fearless is that they can take advantage of people like you who would fold 77 in that spot. pippisan 0
I think Devidov and Eastgate were the best players at the final table, but it was obviously Eastgate's day.Hitting the river 3 for trips and the 4 for the wheel makes you believe it WAS in the the stars. Both of them would destroy yang, Moneymaker, and Raymer. For some reason I still think Jamie Gold is a good player. fatman 1
This might have been good for people going and watching this live but it was a ****ing terrible broadcast on tv. ESPN completely ****ed this up pretty bad imo.
pitchgod 0
My first impression was that it was cool watching the final table without knowing who won, and I was into it. But only 2 hands of heads up play was horrible. Why not expand the coverage? Can the world live without Sportcenter until maybe midnight one time.I really liked the feel of it but after reading this thread today I think that it could have been done better. James D 0
But only 2 hands of heads up play was horrible. Why not expand the coverage?I don't understand why everyone seems to be shocked at this?Let's be very clear.. mainstream poker on tv is all about entertainment, it's not an in-depth strategy guide, and never will be. It's all about viewing figures, and the vast majority of the viewers just want to see some fun, excitement, all-in moments, big bluffs, catchy soundbites etc.Whilst most of us on poker forums would appreciate a further look at some of the more subtle hands of HU play (maybe even all of it)... to ESPN, that would be a very bad decision. Eastgate and Demidov getting to HU will have sounded alarm bells to the producers, because they're just not entertaining enough. They're stone cold boring, actually. You'd make the same decision yourself, if you were executive producer of the show.
outsider13 0
Somebody please teach me to get deep in a tournament and have everybody bluff for their stack when I have big hands. Flushgarden 0
ugh, I wanted to see what Demidov had on the first hand of HU with the TTKKK on board.Seriously, people had money on that hand. Is there any way to find out?Rose what do you want to do?

Jambot 0
Seriously, people had money on that hand. Is there any way to find out?Rose what do you want to do?Well, in the interview with him on the WSOP site he says he had a king, but that could be untrue. Why he'd lie after the entire thing is over and has been filmed though I'm not so sure.
