These conversations always began with the "born again" locked into that silly immutable smile that seems to be worn like a uniform. But as I penetrated, the smile would gradually fade into earnestness, then desperation. Finally transmogrifying into forlorn sadness and eventually tears.
Talking with you takes someone from smiling to crying. Duly noted.

Yes, this is horrible, this post.

Turns out I'd do, what I've always done, cash farm subsidy checks and compulsively masturbate.

The majority didn't vote against him. The majority stayed home.   The GOP candidate had less votes in 2016 than in 2012 or 2008, when they lost both times.   Dems (and repubs) just HATED Hillar

Free choice is a better phrase, but thanks for making my point. Once a child reaches an age of understanding, they CHOOSE.
they think they choose.
Exactly. As they grow and explore, they will find what, if any religious belief they have. Just exactly like I said in the first place, each persons religious beliefs are a result of their OWN determination.
yes but their "choice" is so heavily influenced by their parents/culture that most don't actually have much say in the matter. they may think they're choosing entirely of their own free will, but most are fooling themselves. again, that's the undeniable implication from statistical demographics.

Well, I'll respond to him then and pretend that it's you.It seems to mee then "Fully supporting" is a bunch of bullshit, where you get to say that you fully support the present, you get to mock liberals for not having the same amount of respect as the president, but you also get to call the president any disrespectful thing you want, because you don't actually have to do anything to "fully support" besides say it. I didn't say he said obama was hitler, I said he compared him to hitler, and he certainly did that. I also do not except a limited definition of fascism, fascism involves specific philosophical positions, none which he qualifies for. Using it in any other way, its hyperbole and insult. I can decide to call McCain a faggot, and say " well, what I mean by faggot is an old man from arizona " and it doesn't mean that's what the word means, or that it my definition of it should be respected. Calling someone a fascism or comparing them to hitler is the most fear mongering, reactionary thing you can do. Plenty of liberals did it when describing bush and his policies, and they were absolutely wrong to do it. But one thing they weren't doing, is being "respectful". And again, I don't know how, if you really think someone is a fascist ( and aren't just using the word as an insulting term to belittle the man), how you can "support" him, and support the office. If Mussolini was elected president, I wouldn't be like " oh well, you know, he's a fascist and everything, but he's the president now, so we need to all come together and support him. What I probably would do instead is flee the country.
I do fully support him, as I did Clinton, even though I disagreed with many policies and idealism's they had/have.Fascist is not an insulting word it is a philosophical way of thinking in regards to certain governmental policies. (I agree that the Patriot Act is slightly fascist, just like SS, Welfare, and numerous other programs are socialist). If Obama attempts to do some of the things that he has said he wants to do (the private citizen army, socialized medicine, etc. then I will not support those things)I am just not sure where you are trying to go with this. Your basically calling my patriotism a sham, because a republican, who I didn't even really like, lost the nomination.

Well I will grant you that many people born and raised in communist Russia don't believe in God
don't know but i'd guess that's probably false since most come from long-standing christian cultural backgrounds. their belief is just suppressed by the state.

First he wasn't booted out, he would probably have won reelection but the term limit thing stopped him.Second, I'm willing to bet that Gitmo will stay in operations under ObamaIf it doesn't, then our soldiers will just turn over their captured combatants to their country's authorities. Which do you think they would prefer?
Are you being facetious? If not you are incredibly stupid: his approval rating is the lowest in history, how can you get reelected if you are so utterly unpopular? I will give you the benfift of the doubt and assume you were taking the piss. I can compare Obama to Bush, as Obama is an intellectual and Bush is a retard! Pure and simple. The last 8 years have cause ed Amercia, one of the worlds great nations, to become a total laughing stock thanks his ineptitude.I would be shocked if Obama, given his supreme rationality and intelligence could do worse than that clown.

No, I am not calling your patriotism a sham. I think you can love your country without loving the people who run it and you can love your country without even liking the government itself. I just don't think the way you panic and try and fear monger people against Obama, like you did in the ATTENTION FELLOW CONSERVATIVES post is "fully supportive". I guess I don't even know what you conservatives mean when you say you fully support the office of the president, and imply liberals don't. So what, you think the democrats in this board are like, working to overthrow the government? You think that me and mk are were plotting to knock of bush? Where I'm trying to go with this, is I completely object to the way you, bg, nuts and others, go back and forth, and say how much you're praying for obama to succeed, and how much you "support" him and his office, and say how much liberals just wanted bush to fail out of pure partisanship, and what great citizens you are and what terrible citizens liberals are and on and on, and that's all just nonsense. You guys are going to talk sht about obama, his politics and the bills he puts through non-stop, for 4 years, just the way liberals did non-stop the last four years, and much of what you're going to say won't be "respectful" nor will your behavior substantively different than liberals behavior, and implyng it will be and implying your motives are pure and liberals motives are twisted and evil is just partisan nonsense. And also, by the way, if Obama is doing things you don't like, you should object to it, you should say it's bad, you should be disrespectful. Our country was build on descent. The best thing about our country is that minority view are free to be expressed, and everything Obama and the Democratic government does should be examined and held up to criticism and judged critically and logically. I could just do without the self righteousness.

This is just fundamentally a mis-understanding of where I stand. I argued, vehemently against his policies, because I don't believe in them. I think he has extreme socialist and fascist ideas. I never once said liberals don't care about their country or that they are bad citizens, or even Obama. If you go back and read stuff I have said over the last few months, if nothing, I was the one standing up for some of the liberals on here. Millions of conservatives were wanting Bush to fail too, so he would get out of there. And I am not gushing over supporting Obama. I was merely stating, that although I disagree with many of his viewpoints, now that he is our president I stand behind him. It is not good for our country to be so divided. It also does not mean that I am going to like everything he does.I will question and discuss his policies and decisions, just as I have with Bush. I just have never done it on here because I didn't really start all the political conversations until we were in election time.I have no problem with anyone articulating a point from the opposite side of my belief system and discussing it, as I have with Cane, VB, MK, etc.

See, I don't really even know what that means, or why it needs to be said. Who doesn't stand behind their president? Who didn't stand behind Bush ( in the way you mean, at least)? And I'm not buying the idea that liberals did not, because after 9/11, when America was in crisis, Everyone came together and Bush had record approval. All but the most far left lunatic fringe ( which, really, I was a part of until 9/11, but their reaction to the event disgusted me and pushed me away from the brink) came together and were unified. And if a similar disaster happens under Obama's watch, I have no doubt all but the far right will come together and be supportive and patriotic and bipartisan. ( and by far right, I mean like the militia men and the Stormfronters and people like that). So, it doesn't make any sense to me why people even bother to say " I stand behind our president" because like, who doesn't? Unless, you're trying to imply that liberals don't stand behind republican presidents ( and BG did more than imply it), and that somehow your patriotism is superior to the lefts.

You were raised in a religious home weren't you.PK?
Nope, just the typical loosely observed Catholicism prevalent in the neighborhood. However I knew it was all lies from the get-go. That my friends and cousins never questioned any of it was always a great curiosity to me.

It is irrational to "stand behind" a President with whose philosophies and positions you fundamentally disagree. Obama is a President who we must watch and defend against at every turn. His goal until I see something to the contrary is to turn us into an irrelevant nation like Canada or France. I hate this jingoistic garbage that he now the President of "all the people". He is not. He is someone to be suffered, not supported. His programs and policies must be thwarted, not embraced. I will change my view when he gets into office and DOES NOT seek to implement the collectivist platform espoused on his website. If he turns out to be a BIG LIAR, he MAY get my support.

I wish you guys would hurry up and get over your post-election blues. The holiday season is coming up, and I have a lot of planning to do for year's attack on Christmas, so I really don't need to be side tracked by all of your bellyaching.

I put it out there because I have been one of the more vocal antagonists of Obama. And I want people to understand that even though I don't agree with his philosophies, now that he is our president that I support him as I would anyone. That's it, no hidden agenda. Not calling libs not patriotic. Just a different view point of how to make our country better.

So if you are raised in a Christian nation like America, your beliefs are just propaganda fed to you by your parents, but if you're raised in an athiest nation like Russia, then you are not influenced by your surroundings.Because athiest are making logical choices and Christians are sheep?Got it

I don't think nope means what you think it means. But glad to see that as a young child with little world experience you were able to come to definative decisions about life and it's meaning. If only all of us were so intuative. But I better stop before you lay my soul bare and leave me a quizering mass of self loathing because I used to do drugs before I became a Christian

well, it's better to be irrelevant than completely messed up. that's the status quo, speaking of economy for example.
I will change my view when he gets into office and DOES NOT seek to implement the collectivist platform espoused on his website. If he turns out to be a BIG LIAR, he MAY get my support.
...or if someday you notice that everything he does actually turns out to be good for you?...

Does this not bother you if true?
1. No, not particularly. 2. I don't know the whole story, and I don't trust your judgement on it since you are have shown a tendency to believe in conspiracy theories, and your M.O. is to scour the web for evidence that supports your belief rather than to dutifully dig up the truth.

I don't really know why I keep trying to explain this to you but I'll give it one more shot and then I'm done. Regardless if you are raised in a Baptist home, a Catholic home, a Muslim home or an atheist home....YOU will not know God and have a personal relationship with him if YOU don't believe. My Mother, Father or the Bible can NOT make me a Christian, a Muslim or an atheist. It is something that I alone can do. My parents could take me to a church every single time the door opens but unless I establish a PERSONAL relationship with God, I will not be a Christian. I could even claim to be "born again" but if I don't have a relationship with God, then I'm not truly "born again".
