Morgan1988 0
I don't currently have any poker software. I play exclusively 6max SNG's. What software would be best for me, if any?thanks.
wavelengthsf 0
How do you play 6 max SnGs without any software? Is there a casino that runs such small tournaments? Your best bet would be the large online rooms, where there are a lot of SnGs and players online. Stars and Full Tilt are the biggest.

I don't know which is best for tourneys when it comes to PT or HEM...I like HEM better for cash games though, so HEM.
jmbreslin 0
I use the free RealTime hud. It only keeps stats for the current session but that's all you really need for SnGs anyway.

If you really know how to use the stats though, it can be quite useful. Download the trial for PT3. I believe it's 2 months free or something like that. I use it and really like it, but I used Realtime HUD too and it's good and it's free.
jmbreslin 0
Is this for sharkscope? No, it's a stand alone hud. Keeps track of all the session stats that other huds do but the difference is that it doesn't work off a database, it only gives you stats for that session. If you're looking for something other than a hud then it won't fill your needs.*Edit: If you're playing micro stakes you don't need anything more than current stats because you so rarely run into the same players, even in cash play. When you move up and start to see familiar names at the tables, that's when you really need a database program like PT or the Manager thingy.

jmbreslin 0
WAT?Umm, I play micro stakes and I rarely if ever run into the same players. No need to keep a database of stats if you're facing new opponents every time you sit down. What's the confusion?

They're called regs for a reason.
jmbreslin 0
Granted I haven't been playing cash NLHE that long but I do take notes on my opponents when I play cash and SnGs and I've always been amazed at how rarely I come across players I have notes on. You could play 100 micro SnGs and never sit down with the same player twice.
FizzbinPro 0
Lately I've been interested in playing games other than Hold'em. HORSE, and the like. I'm looking to get HEM for that game, but is there popular software for Omaha and stud? Is it for any reason less important in these games?

I only know of them tracking HE and Omaha. Maybe the new ones are more versatile, but not that I've heard of.
FizzbinPro 0
Obviously I wouldn't have a HUD, then, but any suggestions on how to at least track my play in a more rudimentary fashion? How do most of the mixed game guys do it?
