I was reading this morning the annual repport from WWF and as I'm not an US citizen, I was wondering what is the position of both candidates of these matters? The full report is available here for those who can be interested: http://assets.panda.org/downloads/living_p...report_2008.pdfCome on, don't be shy :club: I guess this subjet is far more important than knowing if Obama has a Muslim second name or if McCain has been re-humanized since his captivity.

the one thing I am sad about with the defeat of mccain is that he seems big on the environment (believably). would've liked to see that injected into the republican mindset.

And has actually worked for buffalo as well.
Yep, private property and free enterprise FTW. If people could make a 15% profit on each panda they killed, the world would be overrun with those damn cuddly things in no time.

it's a shame that china is so protective of them. the atlanta zoo has had two baby pandas since 2006 and their profits have been insane all the while.

I'm giving the opportunity to debate on a 48 pages report on a subjet that normally concern everybody on earth and the only thing that came out is the URL, wow!I pretty sure that some Pandas could have been more contructive in their answers...

Nobody is going to read a 45-page document that has nothing to do with anything and debate it with someone with 11 posts. Sorry, it's not that interesting. Now, if you'd like to pick a few key points and trot them out and defend or argue against them, you may get some interest. For example, addressing specific policies to protect wildlife could be interesting. But the first few pages of the document are just anti-humanity fluff typical of radical environmental organizations, filled with buzzwords and slogans.

In fact you're right. My last post is not reflecting what I wanted to say due to my poor level in english. I apologize.Back to my first post, the question was instead: what is the position of both candidates on ecology problems. Question that was motived by my reading of this report.

That's still a pretty broad question. Which 'ecology problems', specifically? Both say they love the earth and will protect our environment. Both want to drill everywhere when gas prices are high, and nowhere when they are low. They both have bought into the central-planning-is-the-cure-for-everything mentality.

I think I heard Sarah Palin say the same thing.
It was hard to hear her over the whirrr of the helicopter rotors and the death cries of those wolves and baby seals. :club:

Let's say their positioning on earth heating. Do they talked about more R&D on solar/wind/hydraulic sources of energy? On taxes on bigger cars that polute the most? Research or implentation of nuclear energy? Water preservation? On fishing quota? (not in poker I hope) As you said the subjet is still broad but this is the kind of information that are almost totally avoided by generalist newspapers (especially in Europe I think) on this campaign.

they both say the same things generally, but McCain is more specific, especially in his clear support for nuclear power.

Thanks for showing up Captain Obvious.
Actually there's a great deal of misconception about hunters. A good deal of your wildlife preservation and habitat is funded by the fees hunter's pay for licenses & tags. And state governments are very careful about the number of tags they issue for females to keep the game population healthy.P.S. And that's MRS. Obvious to you Mr.

The Earth has always heated and cooled, and will always heat and cool. There should be no political position on this subject. It is a fabricated issue. Most environmental issues are phony excuses to stop progress and punish achievement.Environmentalism is a form of philosophical terrorism with hatred of productivity as its motivating force. Socialist-collectivists also share this envy and hatred of quality. Which is why you will almost find these 2 pathetic groups in political lockstep.

Lol so you're saying if we ate them, they wouldn't be endangered Jeep? Funny.
Actually, yeah. Make it a food source and companies will make sure of that. I'll eat a panda in a heartbeat with the right kind of sauce.
